I had also been waiting all afternoon.  I have been reloading the pages over and over.  I didn't wanna miss any chance to see him.  :(    I'm glad I'm not the only who feel this way with their sons.  hehe... This is much like the same feeling when I first sent him to his preschool.  aah!   I thought my son would be crying all day and the teacher would call me to pick him up.  I was worried that whole day.  It happened to my daughter when I first sent her to preschool.  She cried and cried and I had to come and pick her up on her first day.   But not my son. :)  He seemed to have survived that first day without any event.  Now, I'm going through the same phase.  :(   I really hope he'll do fine along with his group.
Received my sons letter today......Missed his phone call....jeepers.  I can only hope for tomorrow for a phone call.
My son's girlfriend got a call last night from my son saying they did not participate in Captains Cup yesterday.  They did a performance at Navy Pier.  How exciting is that? We are in the final count-down ladies. I hope our team can pull it together and come through BS with flying colors. Then we will get our calls. Yippeee!  Best wishes to all.
Awww, I was wondering how they did at Captains Cup....but I think it is even better that they got to perform at the Pier! I am so happy for them and totally excited to get the "Sailor" call see him on Friday!! The light at the end of the tunnel is very bright now =o)

That is so exciting to hear.  I am sure they enjoyed their "field trip" to Chicago better than participating in the Captains Cup.  Plus, being able to perform at the Navy Pier! My son told me in a letter "I got so lucky with this 900 division".  He said their brother division was 947 & he said he had tears in his eyes seeing everyone graduate.  Anyone else have a SR going to Nuke school?

YES! My son is also a Nuke =o)

Pictures from OCt. 14 PIR are posted now.  They are all AWESOME!   Got a better glimpse of my son.  I still can't believe it!  To be in a fantastic division and performing, I can't wait to give him the biggest HUG!  :)

how do i see the pictures

If you are on Facebook, go to US Navy Recruit Training Command FB page and click on photos.

It is going to be hard for me to sleep tonight.....I can't wait for my phone call tomorrow.

I work in a secure facility...cell phones are not allowed at your desk...But, I am so worried that I will miss my son's phone call that I plan on sneaking my phone into my desk today. Arrgghh

I know the feeling about working at a secure facility and no cell phones however I do work with a great bunch of team players and SGT LT and Captains that they do allow his phone call to come in at work.  However I do not have to worry about that for the rest of the week.  Waiting patiently.
