Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Are you excited for PIR? Hell Yeah! I cant wait!!! Im counting down the days!!

Do you have other children? If so how many? I have a son, Giorgio he's 2. Im a navy wife.

Who are you bringing to the meet and greet and PIR? Im bringing my MIL, SIL'S, Her husband, my two nieces (5 and 6), my parents and my son.

What is the one thing you miss most about your SR? As much as I hate it, I miss how messy he is. I know no one to yell at to clean up his mess or even clean up after. I also really miss not being able to vent to him about work and my day.

Besides seeing and being with your SR, what are you looking forward to most about PIR? Meeting everyone and seeing Chicago. Its my first time being there and I hear everyone says its beautiful.

Name two things you consider yourself good at: Scrapbooking, being a good listener and friend.

What do you do in your spare time? Scrapbooking, and hang with my family. Im a big family person. I love shopping too! Cant wait to see Miracle Mile and Gurnee Mills Mall.

Where are you from? Chicago, IL

Are you excited for PIR? Very excited!  I can't wait.  I do need to find 3 additional tickets!

Do you have other children? If so how many? I have a son, Vern 23; daughter, Renee 27.

Who are you bringing to the meet and greet and PIR? Im bringing, Her Dad and his wife, my boyfriend, my son, my daughter and my SRs step-sister

What is the one thing you miss most about your SR? I miss talking to her.  It always was a bright spot in my day to share the daily stories and knowing how she was doing on a daily basis.  I wonder all the time now, what she is doing, if she's lonely etc.

Besides seeing and being with your SR, what are you looking forward to most about PIR? I am looking forward to the ceremony.  I love that kind of thing.  I really really can't wait to see her!

Name two things you consider yourself good at: I am a runner and feel I am pretty good for someone of my age! I ran the Chicago Marathon last year and many other small races.  I was doing training runs with my SR before she left. 

What do you do in your spare time? I love being outdoors so this time of year I spend a lot of time running outside, walking outside or just hanging with the family out on the deck

What is the one thing you miss most about your SR? I miss talking to him on at least a weekly bases and him poping my back for me.

Besides seeing and being with your SR, what are you looking forward to most about PIR? Meeting everyone and seeing the Chicago area.

Name two things you consider yourself good at: I am a very mechanical or hands on type person. I can do various minor repairs on my motorcycle or around the house. I am a detail oriented person.

What do you do in your spare time? We camp and ride motorcycles. We have a 36ft. RV and we each have our own motorcycles.

Thats so awesome your a runner Jeanette! Our good friend from church is running the Chicago marathon this year. Thats really cool. Nice to meet you! I wouldnt worry about the extra tickets I hear they usually never turn anyone away! :)

 

Dana, Thats cool you have your own motorcycle. Im afraid to ride one. We have a camp too. We love it up there. Its alot of fun. Nice to meet you too! Cant wait till PIR 28 more days!!

Are you excited for PIR? Very Excited, but nervous also. i hope after the long trip I will get to spend at least 1 day with her

Do you have other children? If so how many? I have 5 children. 3 Natural 2 step children. My oldest boy has been in the Navy for almost 3 years, My PR daughter who is in bootcamp, then 3 boys 18, 16, and 16. And the last two are almost the same age and their both named Cody (step brothers)

Who are you bringing to the meet and greet and PIR? I am bring my husband, my daughters step father. i wish I could bring the others but too expensive.

What is the one thing you miss most about your SR? I miss her hugs, and everything about her.

Besides seeing and being with your SR, what are you looking forward to most about PIR? I would like to meet all the other parents.

Name two things you consider yourself good at: Selling things and counseling friends

What do you do in your spare time? I love to read.

Are you excited for PIR? Oh my, very excited!!

Do you have other children? If so how many? My HUSBAND is in BC (Ship12 Div369) but we have a 2yr old son.

Who are you bringing to the meet and greet and PIR? I am bringing my Mother-in-law,  Father-in-law, sister-in-law, my niece (5 months old) and Our son.

What is the one thing you miss most about your SR? I miss a whole lot of things like spending time together on Sundays (the only day we both had off work) and many of the things I feel I took for granted while I got to see him everyday like kissing him good night and taking walks with our son at a local park. But what I miss the most is hearing his voice. We spoke several times during the day.

Besides seeing and being with your SR, what are you looking forward to most about PIR? The look on ourson's face when he Finally gets to see his Daddy and My husbands face when he sees how much our son has grown in 2 short months!

Name two things you consider yourself good at: I consider myself good at coloring, cutting, and styling hair - I am a hairstylist. I also consider myself to be a good listener.

What do you do in your spare time? Of course I spend lots of time w/my 2yr old. I like working out, reading, and scrapbooking. Love the outdoors as well!

Beautiful? In November? It's kind of dreary. There is no view like the one from the Mt. Washington lookout!

Bummer that graduation is a week before the Miracle Mile Lights Festival so I'm sure if the place will be lit up or not.

Yes we are very excited to see our son and to meet all of the other parents and loved ones

We have 4 other children all older than our recruit, three girls and another son. We have two granddaughters, 3yrs and 15 months oh what fun! 

Our son and daughter that lives close to home will be coming with my husband and I

I miss being able to see what he is upto and his crazy hugs

We are looking forward meeting everyone and to see how much he has changed

I guess it would be making quilt tops and sewing up projects,

I like to gardening, sewing,and reading a good romance novel, never enough time to get all of those fun things done, I guess I need to quit working!  Ha Ha

Who are you bringing to the meet and greet and PIR? Im bringing my husband Rick and daughter Courtney.

What is the one thing you miss most about your SR? WOW…..do I miss his smile and hugs!!!! That boy of ours has a way of making everyone around him in a great mood. I miss EVERYTHING….

Besides seeing and being with your SR, what are you looking forward to most about PIR? I’ve heard the graduation is amazing with goose bumps and tears the entire time. I can’t wait!! Can’t wait to meet everyone that has been so supportive and great to talk to on here. Also, looking forward to a mini-vacation!

Name two things you consider yourself good at: I’d like to think I’m a good Mom and wife.  My family is the most important thing in my life.

What do you do in your spare time? Spending time with my family. Whether it is camping, shopping, having family over for dinner, movies…whatever the weekend holds.

Besides seeing and being with your SR, what are you looking forward to most about PIR?  I am excited to see the ceramony.  My son's Army ceramony was terrific, now I will have the opportunity to see the Navy's ceramony.  Meeting everyone and seeing Chicago.

Do you have other children? If so how many? My SR son is the oldest with 2 younger sisters.

Who are you bringing to the meet and greet and PIR? My daughters, parents and my son’s girlfriend will be with me J

What is the one thing you miss most about your SR? I miss being able to pick the phone up and call him.  He hasn’t lived with me for 3 years but I always took it for granted that I could contact him.

Besides seeing and being with your SR, what are you looking forward to most about PIR? Meeting everyone who has been such a great support J  Seeing 2 old college friends that live in Chicago.

Name two things you consider yourself good at: Couponing and being a mindful person.

What do you do in your spare time? I am a single Mom, so I am a soccer and volleyball Mom in the fall and a cheerleading Mom in the Winter.  I am active in my church and active with whatever my family needs.
