Man I hope I get something soon. Im starting to go crazy that I'm not getting any letters or calls. I just really want to hear from my husband! I miss him so much and our 1st wedding anniversary is on Monday so its been a rough week!!!
Happy Anniversary!  Since you are "NavyWife&Mom1 I am guessing you have a child.  Spend your anniversary doing something fun with your child. Maybe video it if you can, to play back for your husband when you see him. That way he will be included in your celebration. Make it special for all of you.  I know it's not the same but remember he is missing you as much as you are missing him.  He just has more to keep his mind off it.... I woke up this morning thinking, we are one day closer to PIR than yesterday.... Keep your chin up!
I have only gotten one letter (actually two in one envelope).  I sure hope I get a phone call soon.  The letters were very sad.  My SR is sooo homesick.  I can't wait to hear that he is doing better.  I pray all the time that this will happen.  This site is a God send of support.  I have finally stopped crying at the drop of a thought about him. I just need to hear his voice and talk to him. I write possitive letters EVERY day in hopes that they will make him feel better.

Good job navymomjulie2011 - way to be supportive! You get a Bravo Zulu! Navy flag speak for "Well done"!

Remember the travel time for the letters...by the time you have read it that homesickness may be diminishing! Make sure you read the Discussion Forum about calls home, especially the first one...it helped me! Most importantly...don't cry. The call time could be short (some have been blessed with long ones) and even if it is not you don't want to waste valuable time crying! Plus, it could set them off...so they need our strenghth! Then when you get off the phone...have a good long one and come here and talk to us!

Make a list of things to ask them...but be prepared to put it aside and let them lead the conversation. They don't "speak unless spoken too" in BC so talking is a commodity!

Yay on the letters and I hope for that call!

Thanks Whitsmom. Yes I do have a little one he's 2 his name is Giorgio! I planned on making my husbands fav dinner ans hanging with my little man. I got 3 letters yesterday!!! That made my day! Hopefully we get calls this week. :) how everyone else holding up?? Anyone get more letters??

For everyone who ordered ribbons to wear to PIR they have all been shipped even the ones that were ordered last night and this morning. You should have them within 2 to 3 days. PIR will be here sooner than you think and I know you are all EXCITED about that :-) If anyone missed out on ordering ribbons and would like to get them please contact me ASAP. I have a very quick turn-around and ship Priority mail so there is still plenty of time to get them to wear to PIR. Just send me a friend request on this site or an email to: uniquememorymakers@yahoo.com    Thanks everyone for making my ribbons a part of your very special event.
