For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hope to hear is he passed by Monday the 31st as we leave early on the 1st via train to come for PIR. He is div. 48.

My son is also in division 48. I had to call the Public Affairs office today as my son was hospitalized and I wanted to make sure his division and PIR date had not changed. The person who answered my call said division 48 will be going through battle stations the week before PIR and that we should get a call on the 28th. Cross your fingers that he is correct. Guess this would be the "I'm a sailor" call. :)

diannep, I appreciate knowing the BS 21 date because I work full time. Knowing when that "I am a Sailor" call might come means I will put my cell where I can see it at all times that day and hand off my work call to take his call. Any of my coworkers can interpret for my callers, but I'm the only one who can be his Mom listening to his accomplishment. Thank you for the info!

Ok, I have sent so many the info...did I send it to you too? Will send it again...just in case! I have fielded about 60-70 emails for BS dates in the past couple of days, so don't remember! :-(

alleyoop: Actually I messaged (friend requested) you the correct date for BStations in a friend request....don't hit ACCEPT or the info goes away! They don't do BattleStations on Fri or Sat nights. Also, we cannot post the dates on N4Moms (or FB either) so I had to delete your post. Sorry....but feel free to repost without the date!
To answer your questions, once they finish BattleStations, they still have their responsibilities, but of course, they have alot more free time. They practice for PIR, etc. They may get more chances to call you. My son finished at the same time of bootcamp that yours will, so had more down time. He was able to call me.....again....when they had a Pizza Party the Tues night of PIR week. So keep your phone close and be checking FB which they can get on too.

Woops I already hit the accept button. Im sorry. I also apologize for posting dates. I mixed up my dates but the dates you provided me in the friend requests were the ones he provided me with. I was just curious what they did after battle stations so thank you for answering that!
