OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Follow this link for OPSEC Guidelines:

Just an update, Dan has boots on the ground. Here is a picture of us from over the weekend...

Carolyn says Hi. She's in the room taking down the Christmas tree. We're watching the Colts and Jets, not really rooting for either though.

Dan is doing great. He's the Corpsman for the 2nd Marines, Mobile Assault Company. They'll be leaving for training in California this month before being deployed.

Happy Thanksgiving to all the moms with sons and daughters serving proudly, we will all say an extra prayer of thanks to them. Dan is on the road home for the holiday so I have something extra to be thankful for!

A Navy Chief and an Admiral were sitting in the barbershop.
They were both just getting finished with their shaves,
when the barbers reached for some after-shave to slap on their faces.

The admiral shouted,
"Hey, don't put that stuff on me! My wife will think I've been in a whorehouse!"

The chief turned to his barber and said,
"Go ahead and put it on. My wife doesn't know what the inside of a whorehouse smells like."

he probably has to go back to GL because that's where he is stationed now, North Jersey is not on their travel agenda, LOL. On the books he is at GL not home, they only provide transportation from duty station to duty station. At least he gets to go home for a while.
