For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

But I attached the following link showing the dates of posting/funds available this year for Navy Fed....you can see where sometimes, they were posted on the 14th, even if not a weekend. But the most important part would be the day those funds are available, I would think.

Comment by Krista on December 13, 2014 at 2:09pm: Paydays are on the 1st and 15th...always. If the payay falls on the weekend or the following Monday, direct deposits will go in on Friday. :)

Comment by diannep on December 13, 2014 at 11:13am: To add on to CatMom's post, those with Navy Fed accounts may have actually had their pay deposited yesterday (Fri). When their paydate falls on a weekend, they pay by Friday before that.

Your SR needs to be at Boot Camp a full 3 weeks, then the next payday he/she will get paid. I believe it's the 1st and 15th and if deposited into Navy Fed, it can show up a day before. Please be aware that their Navy clothing, boots, incidentals will be deducted in the first couple of paychecks~~
