**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).  Still limited to 2 guests maximum.

Specific information on this policy change will be provided in the coming days and weeks.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your support.

RTC Graduation

**UPDATE 7/16/2021**

**UPDATE - 2020**

Due to COVID there is no public PIR. The graduations are on Thursday, and the video of the graduation is posted on RTC's FaceBook on Friday at approx 3pm. Please keep in mind that a division may need to complete additional quarantine during training which will delay their graduation.

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 061 and 062

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Thank you so much so far we have only got one letter from my son so I guess they must keep them pretty busy but I will keep watching for letters in the mail ! Hope to get any other call soon!
My son is also in ddivision 061 since they are a brother division and a push division does anyone now when they are doing bs21?

Good morning, my son SR is also in Div 61. We've been super impressed with the quality of letters coming home (mostly written to his wife)! I love the neat writing! He has made some really good friends there....some of the friends have even written....what a super bunch of people. He has met a fellow SR who was also in a Les Mis production, so they've been singing revolutionary songs when allowed. We also received a couple letters from his shipmates...kind, respectful, interesting, and they assure us they all have each other's back. It sounded like they had a very rough start, but they say the division as a whole has done MUCH better just these last two weeks. His wife also got a phone call yesterday. I will ask her (if he calls again) to find out when bs21 is, if they know yet. Thank you for posting ANY tidbits you hear. Each word we get is precious, isn't it? Blessings on you all today!

I just remembered I think we are not supposed to say when a maneuver takes place, even tho it's just practice. Sorry if I made any confusion.

Good afternoon so I'm a little confused received a letter from my SR and he stated they only get 3 passes for graduation does anyone else now is that's true he had 4 people on first letter he sent us with all info but the next letter said only 3 so I'm just a little confused on which it is

I understood it to be four also, but there were only three names listed on the first form letter we received. I will let you know if I hear anything further.

My son is in Div 62. I received a call from him two Saturdays ago, but no letters. I am really hoping to receive one today. He sounded pretty down during the phone call, and I'm praying to hear that things are going better.

Hi Alicia, we got a similar call two weeks ago from our SR in 61. He asked us to PRAY PRAY PRAY for their division. It seemed there were a handful of recruits having a tough time adjusting to the discipline and it affected the group...but just day before yesterday he called to say how much better things are now. It sounded like the unit was much more cohesive and they are developing friendships. So hard to hear when our kids are blue and especially so far away. I'm joining with you to pray tonight for their divisions.

One thing our SR said is "there is a lot of food....and it's good!" (that is from my son who got MREs in his stocking last year and LOVED them! He also loves the unlimited refills of diet soda.

Bookoffacts, my SR is also in 61. I have been getting letters frequently and many of them. It does sound like their division is going through some difficult times. Please keep praying for them! His letter was dated the 15th, and they had a rough day with more to follow. 2 more SR being sent home. It is such a rollercoster worrying about them all! I certainly hope they can pull together.

I just spoke to our SR's wife. She said a group of six in their division were promoted to E2 for accelerated work. He also told her he has enjoyed reading (and passing around) a book of short stories...mostly Edgar Allen Poe that he used to love when he was younger...his grandma sent it, and I am surprised he was allowed to keep it, but he said they have somewhat of a "bookstore" with different stuff they've gotten. I'm sending comics and memes today.

Bookofacts, I'm so happy to hear that things are going better for your SR. It's encouraging for me to hear this. Hopefully, I'll hear good news soon from my son.

I would love to know when and what you hear....hope it's this weekend. Much love,
