This Group is for those of us who have a Sailor Recruit's Pass in Review January 20, 2012. Please feel free to connect with one another as we will hopefully all be sitting the same room watching not only our own Sailor but all of our Sailors finish their RTC journey and continue on with the rest of their Navy journey. If you have any questions do not hesitate to ask. Someone will be able answer it for you.

OPSEC, OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmust importance. Please take the time to read the Opsec and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names are never allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but discouraged as their RDC's read this site and can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

No mail at all yesterday! The mail lady took the letter for my SR but didn't leave me anything :( I have received 4 letters for other people this week from him, none for me... Kinda bummed but hopefully the mail lady doesn't let me down tomorrow.
wow, this group needs some excitement. You all must be chatting on a facebook page somewhere. It is always so quiet on here.
Good morning everyone. Hope you have a peaceful and beautiful weekend!
Ahhh Sweetlove I had to go look it up as well :-)
Good Morning everyone, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend :-) If you ordered ribbons watch you mail this week for those... Not that you don't already watch it like a Hawk lol.
Still collecting BattleStations dates for this group. Please message me if you have some.
FTLW: Love that Bible verse. When hubby died, the wonderful friends who "mourned" with me and got me out and about...dear to my heart. Hang in there, Sweetlove! I admire your strength and the strength of all military families...because they are the strongest of the strong!
Good for you on being ready!
No...it doesn't...sometimes it's "on hold" though ;-).
"Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn." Romans 12:15 NIV. Sorrow as well as joy are always easier to bear when someone sympathizes with us....especially our soulmate...you'll be with him soon dear!
Hello Beloved PIR group!
I am mostly reading today...bronchitis is coming back (never really cleared up), blah.
One note to add to dainnep's...if you do end up writing...just to encourage you...I wrote late into BC and my son did receive the letters within the first couple of weeks of "A" school. We have heard of them not getting to them. I could imagine if some Sailors are moving around it(some have a two weeks at Gl and then move on) might be hard for the letters to "catch up" .
I know these last few weeks of BC are very filled with thoughts and emotions....for everyone...so sometimes you NEED to write and your Sailor may love hearing what you are thinking and feeling. So if mailing makes you nervous then I would definitly still write and do what diannep said...mail and keep copies OR you can just bring them with you to PIR and give them to them to read at "A" school.
I just posted a questionnaire in the discussions above. This is one I made for my Sailor and I added a very encouraging paragraph to it that helps them understand and get ready for battle stations. I wanted to share it with all of you. All you have to do is copy and paste it and print it out. You may have to tweak it a little bit since my Sailor is a girl :-) I hope you all like it. It is funny too so it will make your soon to be Sailor smile :-) Enjoy, Lala
Awe Sweetlove, I wish you lived near me I would love to have you come hang out at my house. You could just keep me company or I could pay you to clean lol. You don't have much longer until PIR. In fact it is getting very close. I am thinking you all will get to print parking passes on Monday if I am not mistaken :-) And several ribbon orders for this group went in the mail today and more will be shipped early tomorrow morning. I am still waiting on payments from a few and it is not too late to order the ribbons, scarves or decals if anyone missed out on that info just send me a friend request and I will send you the info for placing an order.
Diannep....thanks for the support. I am feeling much better today. I have a television show I filmed that is airing to today so I am pretty excited about it. That has preoccupied my mind for the moment...lol! I am excited that we are two weeks out and I think it will go by so fast!:)
