OPSEC, OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmust importance. Please take the time to read the Opsec and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names are never allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but discouraged as their RDC's read this site and can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

Hi Ladies~ if you are in Div. 045 and Div. 046, come on board our FB group page. https://www.facebook.com/groups/242396232495292/ We would love to meet all of you :)
Oh, Lala. So funny...but I'm sure NOT funny at the time. The innocence of children and what they say. My son had pink eye when working in a restaurant...and then again at bootcamp. It is common at bootcamp. Very yucky~
Funny about the innocence of children...we had another family dinner last night (sadly, my sailor had already returned to his base). It was with my Seattle nephew/gf, his mom, brother, my older son, parents. Final dinner as Seattle couple left today. But my older son was telling the story of how when we were on vacation in Marco Island when he was only 5, he and I decided to go tubing together...each in our own tube behind the same boat...he is my daredevil and was so excited. Well, the guy we hired decided that he was having to go too slow with my 5 yr old on. We weren't far off shore, but the guy dropped my son's rope and told him we would be right back...he wanted to give me a good ride. I freaked! I looked back at my brave son who was very upset and scared. WHAT? I was hanging on for dear life (ok, it was kind of fun) but concerned about my 5 yr old out there in the tube. Stupid guy. Thankfully we weren't gone but for about 30 seconds, but it seems like forever...and we were close by. My son was so very angry at the guy (and he is always respectful to adults) that he asked him why he did that when we came back. My mommy heart was breaking...I tried to no big deal it for my son's sake, but was upset. I knew my son was safe (a great swimmer and had a lifejacket on) but still...when my son brought this up last night (is now 28) I told him I didn't know he remembered that. He said, Mom, it was traumatic!
Uh oh...I guess I deserved all of the sleepness nights he gave me as a teenager then! :-)
he sounds like a real trooper :-) Travel safely!!!
lol poor baby! My son is 17 months so he looked so pitiful but was just smiling and playing like nothing was wrong. Those eye drops work fast though, his eyes are back to normal. haha I just wanted to check in one more time before I get on the road for 3 hours. Hope everyone has a great day! 22 days from right now we will see them marching in!!!
yuck, Pink eye is the worst. My son had it once when he was about 4 years old. He woke up Christmas morning and stood up in his bed and screamed for me. I went running to his room and he said "Santa came and took my eyes" I had no idea what on earth he was talking about until I figured out his eyes were matted shut. He was very happy that a warm washcloth brought his eyes back lol.
I am finally about to be headed back home. Had to stay another night at my parents because my son got pink eye and my sis in law and nephew are staying at my house (leaving today) and I didn't want to expose them to it. I hope to have a letter waiting on me when I get back since everyone else got letters already :)
Chin up, FTLW! The NEW YEAR is almost here! Wheeewww! We made it through another difficult year, learned alot, and we are stronger for it. ONWARD!
:-)
