Welcome to PIR 01/20/2012

OPSEC, OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmust importance. Please take the time to read the Opsec and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names are never allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but discouraged as their RDC's read this site and can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

@joemama...I'm also at the Spring Hill Suites! Are you attending the Sarge Meet and Greet?

Sorry I have been away today, My Sailor made it home late last night :-) So I have been with her today celebrating our late Christmas. She is now off to see her friends so I thought I better jump on here and check on all my Navy friends :-) I hope you are all having a great day!!!

Kathy:  Thanks for dropping in here!  We love to see other N4Moms veterans post their experiences and encouragement!  Hope you stay on here!  We N4Moms veterans cruising the PIR groups can always use the help!

I'm really starting to get excited about PIR on the 20th!  Is anyone else staying at the Spring Hill Suites?

Comment by mome2jord on December 28, 2011 at 12:54am

Kathy....that was so sweet of you to bring such encouraging and supporting words!!  I am actually at the point where I am feeling more and more excited as I realize we are getting closer.  You are right it has been very hard on everyone (as you know), but once we get past the new year it will be like light at the end of the tunnel!:)  It has been been 58 days since I watched my son board his plane and it has seemed like an eternity, but I am so extremely proud of him!!  Thank you for your thoughts and I think the meet and greet will be fantastic.  Congratulations on surviving a year and watching your sailor do many great things and thank you for their service!!:)

BTW...Letter today postmarked the 23rd, so mail is a little delayed :)...

@Lala...That would be me, I will send one to your regular e-mail tomorrow :) Thanks!

Thanks!  I was worried when the phone rang on Christmas Eve.  I know that no news is good news and another phone call couldn't be good.  He said that part of the division didn't have time the day before so they all got a second change at phone calls.  I truly felt blessed and relieved that nothing was wrong.

Comment by diannep on December 27, 2011 at 9:18am

Good Morning, everyone.

That is great, Rachael!  A double blessing!

Hope that letters are being mailed from GL today to you all!  With yesterday being a holiday, they will arrive a day later than normal....but treasured, of course!  Hoping that all have a great day!

Just another reminder to please put SARGE'S number in your phone for any PIR transportation needs during PIR weekend or just general last-minute info.  You can call or text him anytime:  847-212-0246   He is beloved by the Navy families and the SRs/sailors up there. He also holds a MeetNGreet the night before PIR...info up top.
