Welcome to PIR 01/20/2012

OPSEC, OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmust importance. Please take the time to read the Opsec and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names are never allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but discouraged as their RDC's read this site and can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

Binoculars can come in handy...just depends on how much you want to lug in!
The bleacher floors are enclosed so no worries of feet slipping through BUT there are these almost foot long slots underneath the benches that are just wide enough for todays technology to fall through and anything else smaller than that. So, don't set anything important down on the benches. If it falls through...I hear it is history.

Got a phone call from my SR!!  I was at a convelescent hospital with my dad (his namesake) after his hip replacement.  My dad needed the phone call after spending the night there.  Sounds stressful this week but still in good spirits.  Picked up a sharp shooter ribbon and aced a couple of inspections!

Thank you diannep and Samantha!! Truly appreciate it!! Received two letters yesterday and was able to release a lot more tears and actually felt better afterwards...He is so upbeat and happy, or he is REALLY good at fooling us!! Love that boy so much!! Merry Christmas!!

Good Morning all!  Hope there are lots of "bun warmers" in the PIR Hall!  :-)Because it will be cold when you guys are up there (but not in the hall...should be comfortable!).

Comment by Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons on December 23, 2011 at 9:20am

Also don't forget your camera, charged batteries, and some people like to take binoculars,

When you get in the PIR hall take some practice shots with your camera and mess with the settings until your pics look good in that light. You will be glad you took the time and your pictures will turn out much better,

You Smokin' Hot ladies are crackin' me up :-D

Comment by Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons on December 23, 2011 at 9:16am

If you ordered ribbons or are planning to or if you made your own don't forget to put that on the list. There have been a couple moms who forgot them :-( and one mom who couldn't remember where she put hers and had to order some more. Poor thing, I wonder if she ever found those...

One thing to remember in the warmer months: the Shout Wipes work very well on the Dress White uniform. They are sometimes hard to find but they carry them in the Nex. :-)

Comment by futureHMwife on December 23, 2011 at 2:19am

sweetlove, yea I have all that on the list plus chap stick just in case, quiet toys for the kids, snacks, drinks for the kids.... just there is something I can feel it. but I guess if I don't figure it out before hand I can just buy it while I'm there and yes that building is going to have rising temps once we walk in haha
