OPSEC, OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmust importance. Please take the time to read the Opsec and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names are never allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but discouraged as their RDC's read this site and can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

Samantha.....HAHAHA....I love that!!! Especially this year trying to survive my son in boot camp...think I will take that in red and white....lol!!!
Lala, my son was bumped to First Class when he went to A school last year. I was just convincing him on the phone to wear a uniform home for leave this year. He said that he doesn't want people to think that he wants "free stuff" so that's why he doesn't like to wear it out. I told him that he sure better have a uniform on when I get that hug at the airport. He said he will wear his digi blues, for me. :)
Sorry I haven't been on much! I hope everyone is doing well. I have been super busy with the kids. I'm ready to be living with my husband again lol
So neat, FTLW! I bet people will move to let them sit together!
Hiya All....Hope everyone has had a great day! @Rachael...Glad your hubby liked the fruit...@FTLW....Hadn't been in touch with Craig, but have seen his posts on N4M and his Dep site. I love people with a fun sense of humor. Humor is the best medicine! @LaLa....I'm with you on that one! @mome2jord....Here, here, Yeah for 44 days!
That is one perk of flying while in uniform, they often get bumped to first class. Honestly in my own personal opinion I think that active duty military should get at least one free round trip flight a year for personal travel. They deserve at least that if not a whole lot more :-)
FTLW, awww that was nice that they at least offered his first class. That's great that your son is on the same flight home. :)
I'm STILL waiting for my son's holiday leave to be approved. He said that everyone is upset that they haven't been approved yet. He put in the chit before Thanksgiving. UGH! At this point, it will cost us a fortune to get a flight for him. Please pray that I get that phone call tonight to go ahead and book it.
Well everyone is quiet here today...I hope you all are having a great day, we are down to 44 days and getting closer....YAY!!!:)
I'd be right there with you LaLa!
Thanks Betsy! He made the first leg of it so far!
He was wondering what to wear for the flight and I said, "Wear your ABU's." (Airman Battle Uniform - think NWU in earth tones!) I figure it will help him through a lot faster and they're comfortable. Plus, if his luggage got lost with his dress uniform he still has a uniform.
He texted me when he got to the airport that it helped! They had him board first and he was offered a first class seat if one was avaiable...didn't happen, but it was still nice!
My son got his flight info early and I was able to book hubby on the same flight home! They are not sitting together...but I hope someone offers to let them.
So thankful for the kindness of strangers.
