Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I hold my breath every time I open the mailbox-but no letter yet here. :-( I am excited for everyone who has gotten one (or 5!) so far. I love to hear how your SR's are doing and I don't even know them-lol. Maybe that's how they feel in BC when their buddies get letters from home too?

Okay, MarNavyMom...I haven't heard from my SR either, and even though he is younger than yours by almost 6 years, I somehow don't think I will get a whole lot of mail from him, either. It's just not in his nature. But I write to him anyway. And send them along with love, as I know you do. If I get a letter or two, I will be pleasantly surprised. I know he's doing great. That's what I keep in my heart.

Wow! five letters. That is awesome. I am not so sure my son will be that energetic. I don't know. My son is 25 and I am kinda thinking maybe he will not write that much. I hope I am wrong and I get few letters soon. I have sent him three letters the first one was three pages because it took a while to get his address so I had a lot to say.

I received my first letter from my hustand today! Ship div911. It was short but so good to hear from him. Hang in there, they will come!
