Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 075 and 076.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

6 more Fridays!!! yay I hope everyone is adjusting to having their SR gone.  My days are getting better.  Looking forward to seeing my son in January.  Right now I am looking forward to receiving a letter from him.

I feel the same way.  I am counting down the days.  I expect him to walk through the door any minute.  I received his "form" letter the other day and I was so excited until I opened it.  I hate not being able to talk to him. Ship 14 Div 075

Hi Irene! My son is ship 14 Div 076 as well! My son left the 4th and processed quickly! I thought he would PIR Feb 1 but will Jan 25 as well. I have had the flu since he left so as bad as this sounds, the first week was not to hard as I was to sick to think about anything. Week two has been about the same. But I think I am turning a corner now with my health and I am missing him like crazy! He tried to call twice the night he got in but we were on our way back from KC and hit a dead zone! But last Sunday he got to call me and talk for 30 seconds! I was thrilled! It was quick, but he sounded great! Now I am just waiting on that letter. Regardless of being this sick, I have managed to mail him a letter every day so far! I can't wait for January 25 to get here!!! I am glad your days are getting better for you and hoping we all get a letter soon!

Laura

@Sarah - I too thought they wouldn't graduate until Feb 1st.  There are others who left for Great Lakes on the 3rd and their division isn't graduating until then so our loved ones are pretty lucky.  Although I bet it was a little more chaotic for them since they had to be processed so quickly.  I was very happy to see there are other nukes in this division too so my son has someone to continue on to A school with. I am hoping to get a letter by early next week!

Looks like other moms are getting letters saying division 075 is now ship 3 too.  Not sure what caused the change but it appears that is where they are at now.

Gingerbread man

Merry Christmas everyone. We I tried out one suggestion on what to do with our SR away for the Holidays. I made a flat Stanley with my sons face on it. He was in his stocking and at our christmas celebration with the family. Everyone thought I was nuts but we all had some good laughs and less tears. I miss him a lot and so does his sister. I am going to print the pictures and send them to him. He will think mom has lost it but it will give him a good laugh and to know that he was included in our holiday celebration. I hope you all had a great celebration. We will see our SR in a month. If you made a flat SR bring it to the meet and greet.

Has and SR received letters to the first ship address. My son called today and he has only received the latter letters. looks like 6-9 are still missing. hopefully they will arrive soon. His sounded great on the phone and is doing well. Their div did well one week and got to ask about sport scores he said.

HI I have received a letter yesterday and today from my SR. He did the questioner had some good answers. todays letter had info on nuke school. and that he was a grad and go we get him until 2100 on friday and they leave at 0100 for the airport. yuck such a early time. but would know his flight time 2-3 days before the PIR.

Received a letter from my SR today. they are tied for 2nd in the rankings and on track to be a hall of fame division. They have won several ribbons. They took their pictures on Friday but have not placed orders for them yet.  So it sounds like division 76 is doing well. He also said that he had a surprise for us.  I wonder what that could be?  Well moms cant wait 9 more days to see our SR's. See you at Sarges meet and greet. Everyone drive and fly safe.
