Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Just checking in. I will be more involved with the Nuke Moms and Texas Moms groups. Thanks for being there for us.
I am leaving this group also. I have joined the next group for the next step in this journey.
Friends,
I am also movin' on. Continued blessings on your Navy journey!! Come back here to check in on each other~~
jessiesmom,
So glad your SR daughter will be able to stay and heal!! I had faith in that and know I will see you back in another PIR group down the line!!
We N4Moms veterans loved helping all through! Thanks for the info from you all....michaelsmom...thanks for the Flanagans heads up. Flanagans had not been posting their MeetandGreet for a while under events so I figured as much. I believe that Sarge's has pretty much taken over in the MeetandGreet dept....not sure that made Flanagans and Ramada happy, but we have to refer people to Sarge's since he is the one with so much helpful info for you for the weekend...we get rave reviews from families about how great he was with answering their questions....that is what everyone needs!
I'm leaving this group now.....blessings to your sailors in their Navy futures!
