Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 075 and 076

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Welcome!!!!

Hi there, welcome! My son is 076 and will be going to San Antonio after BC.

Hello everyone! Is it just ME that can't read these posts without crying? My baby girl is in 075. She and her brother are the light of my life and I miss her terribly as I see that all of you are going through right along with me. It's SO painful, isn't it? Christina, my daughter is going to San Antonio from BC too. Her job (MOS) is "MA" (Master at Arms) which freaks me out even MORE of course. :-). We are from Longmont, Colorado, right outside of Boulder. Will you be able to attend graduation? JessiesMom, I have our reservations booked too and can't wait to get there and hold her. I would like to "adopt" for the day any recruit who's family can't attend, as I certainly understand constraints. So, if ANYONE has that situation, PLEASE contact me. It would be an honor!

Hi Daniesmom. Yes my husband and I will be at graduation. I'm not that worried about their job, unless I don't fully understand what exactly they will be doing at all times. I just have been thinking if it as they will be the police for the navy bases and ships, ect.
I can't wait to hug my son! It's been so hard and I know it's just the beginning but at least we will not be shut off from them when boot camp is over.

Thank you for the reply Christina. Good point on the job description. I would love to meet you at the Meet N' Greet the night before graduation. Do you plan to attend that?

maybe our girls are friends up there.  I can not wait to meet everyone.  I am so glad that we have a place to go and express how we feel and others understand.

I miss my SR very much.  I feel the same way you do.  Where are you staying?  We just changed our reservations to the Hampton in Gurnee from the LaQuinta.  Are you going to the meet and greet?

Hi there! Maybe they ARE! Wouldn't that be wonderful! We are staying at the Best Western Gurnee. Yes, we are going to the Meet and Greet. I just wrote the following to Christina... Thoughts?

I really look forward to meeting everyone too! I see now on the events listing that there is more than one Meet N' Greet to choose from (see below). Any thoughts which one you will attend? I was leaning toward Sarge's because it sounded warm and welcoming but I could be swayed either way if you and Jessiesmom (and the other in 075/076) have a preference as I really want to meet you ALL.

I think we plan to attend. I would love to meet you and everyone. I'm guessing my son and your daughter know each other and will definately become acquainted in Texas. Do you have other children? Mine is my one and only.
Yes. I have a 16 year old son who is very close with my daughter and will be coming out with us to GL and I have a 28 year old step son and a 33 year old step daughter who has 3 kids of her own. She and my daughter are very close too and she just moved her family to San Antonio this past Summer so I plan to fly out there and see all of them in Feb. can't wait
We also plan on flying to Texas a few times on weekends to visit. I can't wait. How old is your SR? My son will be 19 in April.

Hi Christina. My SR turned 19 yesterday! I cried WAY too many times yesterday too that I couldn't be with her on her special day. Am I to understand that we don't say our recruits last name here on the site for safety/security purposes, so I can't ask your recruits name to be able to tell mine that I am chatting with his mom? I thin "I" am hurting, but I can only IMAGINE the pain with him being your one and only. I send a hug to you from way over here. :-( I really look forward to meeting everyone too!
