~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Daniesmom: She should be able to try again in the morning and even Wed if she doesn't pass tomorrow. If she passes by Wed, she will be at PIR. If you get no call from her, sadly it will mean that she didn't pass. In that case, do not head to PIR...you will not be allowed to see her. RTC tells all that if your SR calls you saying they didn't pass their PFA, do not go to PIR unless you get another call from that SR saying that they have now passed.
If they don't pass by Wed, they stay in FIT division and keep trying, 3 times a week. M W F I believe. The keep trying until they pass or run out of chances (I think they have about 12 chances). If they don't pass after all chances, they are discharged; if they do pass, they do BattleStations and head straight to A School then, no PIR.
Fingers crossed and prayers going up!
DaniesMom, They will get to try again on Monday and if need be again on Wednesday. I have decided today that I am going to continue with the plans. I am getting her stuff together that she will want to have with her for A school. I even started making the PIR ribbons. Keeping the faith and hoping that we will all see each other on Friday.
Hi Jessiesmom. I just posted a comment saying the same thing has happened to us. My recruit didn't pass the PFA also. I am PRAYING that I get to see her, but I am with you. I have NO idea what to expect next if she doesn't pass it tomorrow. I sent a note to Lemonelephant hoping she might know something as a veteran mom. Does anybody else know what to expect? My poor recruit was SO upset. I told her the same as you did. We will be there as soon as we can with bells on and I am SO proud of her.
Thank you CatMom509!
I figured that I am sure that my daughter is not the only one having a rough go at it. So this is for every recruit that is in BC now and will be in the future. God bless this wonderful group that we have here.
MaDukes - I was having a very rough time since the phone call yesterday, and I found the post on Facebook and figured I was meant to find it and share it with everyone.
Please see "BATTLESTATIONS: THEIR FINAL TEST!" up in the Discussion Forum. Diannep explains the gist of what happens. It is the final test of all your SRs have learned in Boot Camp on a replca of a real ship and this test must be passed in order for them to become United States Navy Sailors! You can also "friend" Diannep to get your SR's Battlestation date by clicking on her name and asking for Division 82's date. When she responds, please don't hit accept before reading her message to you or the information will go away~~
Hi Friends!
