Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 081 and 082.
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

@ Chickadee - this is what I posted earlier on FB and at BootCamp for Moms and at the PIR 02/01/2013 N4Ms site: Ship 03/Div 082 - I GOT MY FIRST LETTER last night!!!!! Yeah!!!!!! He told me that their first actual day of BC was last Friday and that they were in P Days from the time they arrived on 12/5. He said that they really didn't do much during P Days. He said that the days are going quickly and the guys in his division are cool and some have become like brothers. "The food is okay . . . ." He also said that 5 people already quit and have gone home. He also got sick and still was as he wrote his letter. He is worried about the upcoming test that they have next week as he does not want to get set back. He also said that he has read the note I put in his wallet so many times that he has lost count. He also told me that he misses all of us and that he loves me and that he was sorry if never said it enough. That's my BOY! I love him and miss him so much!!! He said that "my RDCs are pretty cool for RDCs at least." He mentioned that he needs me to send his debit card - not sure why, but I sent him with a Visa debit card to use if he needed anything. He is looking forward to graduation. I am hopeful that he does well on his testing and pray that he does not get set back. Please say a prayer that he does well on his tests. Thank you!Chickadee - is your SR in our Ship/Division? Have you gone out to the FB site yet? I'd love to connect with you out there and let my son know your SR's last name so they can connect, if possible.

Thank you for the update. I have been trying to pinpoint what my husband is doing using a post from Navydep (link posted) and through N4M posts. I guess they're finishing up week one right now. According to the post, the test he is referring to will be on first aid, enlisted rate/rank recognition, uniform and grooming, and us navy ships and aircraft. I have faith our men will do well (:
I really hope my husband isn't sending his mail to my university address. I'm so anxious to receive his mail, I might breakdown if I have to wait another day!
I haven't checked out the FB site yet because I wasn't sure which is the official group for this site. Is it "Navy for moms" with the tsunami icon? or "Navy moms on facebook"?

FB Site, you will need to friend Kathy DeCarlo and let her know that your SR is in the 02/01/2013 PIR Group and request access as it is a closed group. Sorry I missed your IM, but I was out of the house for about an hour. As an aside, my Stepdad used to call me Chickadee (a bird in flight) when I was a child and he continued that tradition until his passing in March 2004.

Hey everyone, hope you all are doing well. I'm hanging in there but the closer we get to Christmas, the sadder I'm getting that my SR is not here with all of us. I'm doing my best to concentrate on the positives so that I don't start getting all emotional again!!! It's hard to listen to all the Christmas songs without getting teary eyed..... or maybe I'm just PMS'ing...HAHAHAHA!!!!! :) Whatever it is, I'm definitely more emotional right now but I'm trying my best to hold it together.
So with that said, I wanted to ask you guys which meet and greet you were thinking about going to? I keep hearing that Sarge's is the best one??? Or maybe Flannigan's? @Photomom, I think you mentioned Flannigans.... So what do you all think? Just curious which one everyone is going to. Hopefully we will all go to the same one so we can finally meet in person. I can't wait for FEB. 1st!!!!! Hugs to all...
