Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 081 and 082.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

So funny that you replied to me on here and we ended up having sons that are bunkmates. Nice.

Hi all!

My daughter is in Div 81 and she called her boyfriend today.  She had one call and chose him (also rec'd letter from her today saying she was calling on 1/2 and would be calling him and the next call would be to me (mom)).  She is doing really well.  I guess they talked for about 30 minutes.  She wrote in her letter that if they do well on tests from now on (perfect score) they can earn phone calls.  They are officially in Phase 2 of training (3 phases total).  She said they are making strong friendships that really help.  They get to save all letters and many of them re-read them regularly and that they really help.  Hope all of you heard from your SR either directly or indirectly ;)

Have a great night!

That explains alot, our son tried to reach his dad but got vm, and he should have my new cell # or his brothers or sisters but didnt call them.... We just heard from my ex that he got a message from our son saying he was doing well and missed us and was disappointed he didnt get thru. Broke my heart.

@Rose:  I never heard from my SR.  I am hoping and praying that he is healthy and not ill.  He told me in his last letter that he passed the swim without any issues and did well.  I know that no news is good news, but he never called.  Very sad.  I am hoping for a letter today.  I also wrote in his letter that is going out today about those girls who find out their information and write them looking for a "future" with them.  I am hoping that he has not received any such mail.  Have a great day.

@PatsFan - I'm so sad that you didn't receive a call yesterday. It must be that your SR had the bad luck of pulling a watch duty during the calling session.  Maybe the RDCs will let those that had to stand watch call out today with the next Division that gets phone privilages.  That just doesn't seem fair that they wouldn't allow them to call with the rest of the division?!?!?  My SR did say that there were quite a few sick but their Division wasn't too bad with it.  Let's pray that your son was just doing watch and that he's healthy and well.  I'm praying so hard that all of you will get your calls today!!!!!  Hugs to you....

Has anyone heard when Divs 081 and 082 may be receiving phone call privileges again?  Someone posted out on the main group for PIR 2/1/13 that this division would be calling on 2/1 and I know a lot of you received calls.  I was hoping to find out anything, if possible.  I know they have a rough couple of weeks ahead of them.  Any info would be great!!!

My daughter Alicia is in Div 81.  Can't wait to see her at graduation!

Hi everyone,

Has anyone heard from their SR?  We are getting a letter once a week but haven't had a call since our SR called her boyfriend on 1/2. She wrote in her letter that they may get to call after the 18th.  I'm curious if anyone has had a call?  Only 11 days to PIR!  Hope these next days go quickly for all of us!

:)

HI Gonavybunny....we haven't gotten a phone call either since Jan. 2. No letters either.  I'm still holding on to the  saying, no news is good news!!

Gonavybunny and mynavyson, someone posted that Division 82 is slated for phone calls on January 22nd (tomorrow) and I am hoping that since my SR was on watch on 1/2 when they got to call home, that he will get the opportunity this time and not be on watch again.  I am so hoping for that call tomorrow!!!

Patsfan923, thanks so much for reposting the date. I had seen it and couldn't find it again.  I will be glued to my phone, lol. I hope you gets yours as well especially since you didn't get the first one yet.  Saying prayers for you and the rest of parents of 082.

Hi all,

Letter from my SR reported phone call FOR SURE on Tuesday Jan. 29th.  She also wrote to her boyfriend that she will be able to call him too.  Everyone have your phones close by on Tuesday!  They are almost done!!!!!!!!!!

Hope you all have a great day!
