Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

Welcome to the Division Discussion for division 804 and 805.

Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).

sjtina, cor and a couple more ladies will be joining you to answer your questions about this "800" division. Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.

Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.

We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there ladies!!!

Yes, 04/804.  I thought they were already into their 3rd week, but looking at it again, you are probably right.  Maybe a call will come this week or over next weekend.

So....rporter1023, katiegirl, and Chico 04 Div 804...are all of our SR's in this same ship and division-Spec. Ops?

Yes, so excited to find others in the same Ship and Div.  There is so much on the Navy 4 Moms website, but it is nice to know others who have SRs together.  I got a letter on Thursday, but no calls.

Cute Kitty

Yea I received the form letter the first week they left!

Yes, we received ours the first week also.  It looked like something they did as a group.  I say that because the printing was all in caps, very formal and in pencil.  It looked like there were eraser marks too as if someone was teaching them the proper way to write the address (like something the whole group did at once).  The letter is a form letter and my SR just wrote in certain information.

Yea everyone should have gotten it by now. They fill them out as soon as they get there and they are taught how to write exactly how the navy wants them too! It should have been sent out the next day after they got there.

Hi. My son is Ship 04 Div 804. PIR 2/1/13. We have received one letter and the form letter. I am anxiously waiting to receive another letter or dare I say a phone call. His letter didn't have much detail, but he looks forward to the ice cream bar on Sundays.

Looking forward to meeting others and seeing my son.

We are from Arizona, Anyone else?

We only got 1 written letter so far.  I am hoping for another today or tomorrow.  Also, the phone call.  I have resorted to carrying my cell phone in my bra so it is with me every minute:)  LOL

Thanks Cor.  Just joined the Pre Buds group.  Already saw lots of useful information.  How long are they in Pre-Buds before going to CA?

txtrained, I did see the list of things to bring.  I really had no idea.  Pre-BUDS is 8 weeks???  I thought it was only a week or two.  My SR did not give us much information on all of this before he left.  I do not know if he knew either before going.  I am learning that patience is a virtue in the Navy and having a plan is good, but it will most likely change:)  LOL

We also received a letter today.  Our SR seems to be adjusting:)  We got several "Haha" throughout.  Sounds like they do not have much time to write.  My SR uses time right before going to bed, but the more he writes, the less time he has to sleep.  He said he signed up to donate to two charities, give up his free day so another shipmate could go to mass, and volunteered to clean the bathroom because he said everyone hates that job. LOL  What has gotten into him? :-)  My SR referred to letters we sent, his girlfriend sent and other family members sent, so it sounds like he is getting our mail.
