Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 083 and 084.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hi Lauren,

I am from San Diego, my boyfriend is also in that division. He has pretty much told me the same things, especially that they are getting a lot of IT because they talk too much.

Haha! funny!

I got a letter from my son Nick last night. He said they were allowed to freely fold their clothes and shine their boots for 6 hours Christmas Day! What a treat! There is snow on the ground and he would love to slide in it but unfortunately they can only march through it. They have a thing called snow watch where if the snow gets too heavy, two people from each division go outside and shovel the sidewalk. But it hasn't been snowing hard enough to warrant a call which he seems to regret. they received their dress blues, dress whites, and got fitted for a beautiful peacoat! anyone has stories to share?

This is awesome, my son called me today for about 2 seconds....he sounded a little sick...we are arriving on thursday around 6pm...dont know how long the drive is from chicago and would love to to make the meet and greet at the resturant..Hope everyone is well and lets keep our heads up so our sailors can be strong!!!

hi everyone, my son is in  same division 84,ship 13...PIR  2/1/13...getting excited, nervous as all get out. got my second call on the 2nd, like the rest of you...my son didn't talk with me long, as his sister wanted to hear from him, she missed his Christmas call, lol....he sounded good, didn't say anything about being sick.  hope he stays well, and that all of your sons get well VERY soon!!  hope to meet lots of you at the Meet n Greet.

Good to here from you guys on this thread now - ship 13 div 83 and 84

I group is finally growing

Have any of you heard from your sailors this week

got a letter from my son on Thursday, he's doing well.  says it's starting to get easier, cause their all starting to work really well as a team, and he is really enjoying what they are doing.  wants to know who's mom's I'm in this group with, so he can see if he is friends with their sons. and probably let them know the Mom's are conversing.  LOL, love my son, and miss him much, but can't wait to see him at PIR.  will be sending my letter out on Monday, and my son's last name is Diaz..guess they all go by last names there.  makes it easier, probably.

Hello, my son's last name is Hernandez he is also in this group have not heard from him lately but do understand how much you miss him...Hope to meet you all very soon....;-)..the saddest part is my son's birthday is on saturday....his first brithday away from home....:-(

Hello everyone, quick question what video is everyone talking about?

The recruits can order a DVD of the graduation ceremony when they place their picture order. It's a great memento and something you can show other family members that make it to PIR.

Is anyone going to Sarge's meet and greet on Thursday evening before grad? or any other meet and greet?

I haven't heard from my SR since Christmas. Is this normal? :(

me either.but his ex girlfriend has been recieving letters ughhhh.whats up with that?
