~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Hello Friends,
"He came and preached peace to you who were far away
and peace to those who were near. For through Him
we both have access to the Father by one Spirit."
Ephesians 2:17-18
ATexMom: I accepted your request. My son got re-classed as MA so I don't know if they will have any contact.
Cjsmom: My son also went to SA. I sent you a friend request. Did your son get re-classed as HM? We live in Austin, which is only 1 hour or so north of SA.
Good morning. Thank you for all your input and support through the BC experience. I am on of the few mothers who did not get the "I'm a sailor" but of course he had a good reason. He was able to get on facebook and post two words"Hello civilization" so I knew he had passed. We were able to spot him when 090 came by. What a thrill!! I had watched a few of the previous PIRs but nothing prepares you for the real thing. All my sailor wanted to do was get something to eat and take a shower. I think he was happier for the underwear that I brought him than anything else. Had a lot of fun catching up at the hotel and hearing about some of the "fun" incidents of BC. He's off to A school in San Antonio which is a change of plans. He was initially slated to go to Pensacola, but he was re-classed. Its all good though, he's happy and so are we. So proud of him.
I didn't go to Meet and greet, for this Florida girl it was way too cold, but we used sarge for all our transportation. Fantastic service. We got Anthony and he was amazing. Thanks again to you all and I look forward to staying in touch.
donnalb,
What a blessing of sleep and time for both you and your new Sailor!! Now for the A school phase~~
MennoMom: OOOPS! Wrong number in my last post so I will delete it. The Photo Lab number is: 847 578 6205 So sorry about that!
