Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 913.
Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

You can turn in for the night, got my call, yay!! he even got to talk to his dad. Thanks so much Sam, you kept me going thru a rough hour of waiting. He was on watch so his call came a bit later. He sounded exhausted but not sick anymore but oh my i can't believe how good it feels just to hear his voice.
I momentarily forgot what button to push on the phone i was so afraid of disconnecting him. sleep well
So glad you got to talk to him. Did he say anyhting about other sr's making calls?
I got my third letter today!!! It was much more upbeat from the first two. My son said they are getting in the groove and keeping busy. Long days and not much sleep. Maybe 5 hrs sleep a night. He said he wakes at the sound of his RDC's voice. Ha ha. He said they all failed their first inspections of uniforms and racks but that is what usually happens. He said some of his shipmates have been talking about their moms who are on Navy For Moms but no names can be mentioned. He was chosen for the Honor Guard and marches with the rifles! I am so thrilled. He said the 900 level is more condensed training, more drill and being held up to near impossible standards. Sounds like a real challenge for our SRs. The sad part of my day was when my phone rang at 3:15 (CA time) and I saw the 847 area code and then my phone died. I missed my call. I have had that phone on me for days now waiting for that darn call. At least he left me a voice message so I can keep replaying his message. SAD FACE. It was so good to hear his voice and only hoped he could have tried me again but no such luck. Hope you all get your call. Soon we will meet at Great Lakes! I feel like packing. LOL
I got my call!!!! It was so nice hearing his voice!!! He sounded so good. He was so upbeat and positive and gave me such peace of mind. Thank you to who ever mentioned about recording the phone call.....my husband is out of town till next week and my daughter was working. So now they get to hear his voice. I listened to it 3 times last night with a smile on my face. 27 more days to go!!!!!!
Venting thread...
