Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 091 and 092.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Merry Christmas everyone! My son is in div 091. We have written and sent LOTS of letters, but have not heard from our SR :-(. I know with 5000 SR's at RTC that it would be impossible for them all to get a call home........but I can't help being envious of the folks who have gotten a call! My son will be going to Charleston for nuke when he finishes at RTC. My husband and one of our daughters ( due to the new rule!!!) and I will be attending PIR and we can't wait! The time really is passing quickly and I pray our sons and daughters are all succeeding each day.

We are right there with you....no letter(other than the form letter) and no phone call.  I would just love to have some form of communication from him.

Woohoo!!  We got two letters from our SR today!  He sent one to his dad and one to me and his sister together. My heart feels so good right now.  He said in the letter to his dad that the food is great and things were going well.  Dad's letter was much more focused on food but he did mention that they were on week 1 day 2(that letter was dated Dec 25th). Mine and sissy's letter mostly explained their schedule throughout the day and he mentioned that he has to have his wisdom teeth out on the right side.  I'm so confused as I thought for some reason they would take those out during the P days...does anyone know?

Thanks FTLW for setting all this up......hope you feel better soon!

Merry Christmas everyone!!!! My son is on ship 3 and we are hoping for a call today. I know its not likely but you never know!

Hi All, Merry Christmas!

We are hoping this is the week we get a letter or phone call as well. It's so nice when everyone starts posting here that they got a phone call....puts us all on high alert!  Have a great day!

@ missy0922, son doing the same, div 091. Would love for a call, but wont hold my breath. Merry Christmas to all!!

We just got a 4 minute call.......best Christmas present ever!!!!!! He sounds good....said the first week was worse than he ever imagined, but now it's better!

I just got a call from my son, I'm so happy! I got to talk to him and now I finally know his address so I can start sending letters. It was a short call and he said he was only able to do so because he donated money for charity. He said everything was going good, but he sounded sad and he really wants letters fast. It was so hard to keep it together. I can't wait for this part to be over.

My sons girlfriend got a short 5 min call today as well. He is in DIV 092. He also told her that he had to donate to a charitable cause to call home. She said he sounded tired, but has been sick this week. All of my boys got sick in boot camp. Seems to be the norm unfortunately. She was thrilled to hear from him and I'm glad he was able to call! He did get one of her letters.

@mochi1 my son called his girlfriend last night also, she said he sounded very tired and also stated he has been sick since he got there, pumping him with lots of cold medicine. He also said he needs his wisdom teeth out. He hasn't received any of our letters yet. I'm so grateful she heard from him.

Hello! I haven't heard from my son. I've been waiting to hear from him. He didn't call for Christmas. Did they let your son call on Christmas?
