Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 091 and 092.
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

Great minds think alike! I had planned on getting a red scarf and letting my SR know that I would be wearing it, so it would help him find me. I do agree that is a good idea to find something that will stand out. I am getting so excited the closer it gets, I just can't wait to see my son. I miss him so much.
I just got a very fast 10 min call from my SR. He said he earned a call for something, wasn't sure exactly what. He sounded tired but said things were going well. He said they were on a hold a day because of the holiday. But they had a lot of work coming up. He confirmed that they did well in an inspection last week, but that they had more coming up. He said it snowed today, he really enjoys the snow. They wear enough layers to stay warm, so he is able to enjoy it. It's interesting, he sounds different. The way he talks is more serious and although I know he is doing the most serious work he's ever done, I am going to miss that carefree young man that left a few months ago. I hope he is hanging in there, I always worry.
hi i'm new to all this i sure like all your help! the div you talk about is that 091 or 092, my son is in shp03 div 092 can't wait to see him, i will be coming with his gf. i hope we don't get lost! thanks again! becky
How exciting LisaS!!! I'm glad he confirmed the Inspection went well.
Ladies, I so hope the weather we are getting in Northeastern Ohio calms down soon. I would hate for it to be like this when we are trying to get to Chicago in February.
I know, they have had such a mild winter so far.
My friend who went in Dec 2011 for her son's graduation said it was chilly in the building, so likely we'll need to keep coats on. She confirmed that you need get there early for good seats, but said that the top level had the best views. She sat up top towards the center, but her son was lead on the drill team, so she had to sit in the center to see him perform. I hope we get a chance to meet also while looking for our SR's. I was going to suggest to him that he stay with his unit and I will come down to him. Might be easier for us to find them since we will see their unit coming in. Ohhh...I can't wait!
britefuture, I didn't think about that being Superbowl Sunday, lol They will be having their own Superbowl going on. I am not sure about if we will keep coats on inside or if it will warm up. I imagine it will be cold regardless in that building doesn't look like it would hold heat very well but then I have no idea. I was thinking if you all would like and if you have a red scarf we could wear that. If you don't have one don't feel like you have to go buy one but I thought it might be a color that most would have. Just wear what you have and we can still sit together that way you can tell your SR to look for a group of red scarves. Just a thought. I will be trying to get there as early as possible. I know they open the hall at 7:30 so may try to get there when they open the building.
