OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Follow this link for OPSEC Guidelines:

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

RTC Graduation

**UPDATE 8/25/2022 - MASK MANDATE IS LIFTED.  Vaccinations still required.

**UPDATE 11/10/22 PIR - Vaccinations no longer required.

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

Welcome to the Division Discussion for division 806.

Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).

sjtina, cor and a couple more ladies will be joining you to answer your questions about this "800" division. Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.

Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.

We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there ladies!!!

YAY!!!!!!!!!!! I am sitting here starring at the phone now :) hope I get a call too

I just got a phonecall fro my SR too! He sounds so good (:

What a great weekend!  Got a call from my SR...he actually got through to me at the hospital!!!  In all the chaos of our day...9 Mom/baby couplets and 3 in labor and lots of outpatients....(it is a 6 bed Mom/baby unit and a 4 bed LDR) I had a chance to chat!!! He sounded good and said they had had a good week with inspections and training!  Have a big test/inspection on Monday and asked for prayers that all would be successful!  They were definitely enjoying Ricky Heaven...

Have a great week!  These last 11 days are going to fly by I think!

What is "Ricky Heaven"?  What are the security clearance calls about?  Who do they come from?

Just printed my parking pass. Got a call from my SR on Saturday. I am so excited and full of emotions. As the printer started printing I began to get teary eyed because I know this means I see my honey soon :-D

29 years ago today I married my Sailor!  We took a UHaul and moved to Waukegan, IL three days after.  He went to bootcamp in Orlando, Aschool in Gulfport then to Great Lakes.  He was a SeaBee.  I went to his boot camp graduation in Orlando.  Ahhh memories!  Now I'm off to print my parking pass...HOOYAH!

LOL Loves Boxers, like the dog, I'll be bringing the boxers, like the shorts, to PIR though!  My SR would love for me to bring our boxer, like the dog too!  The one in the pic is not our boxer but my granddog he's a boxer mixed w/pit...very sweet boy!

Yes, for dive prep. I'll be on pins and needles all over again!

Parking Pass Printed!  Starting to make lists for packing....and starting to think about how to keep my students busy for 3 days with a sub.....I detest writing sub plans ....but I wouldn't miss this trip for the world!!!!! So excited!

I mailed my last letter this morning. I know my SR said that they sometimes hold their mail. He has gone over a week without getting any and his GF & I both mail something everyday.
LadyHawk - I'm not sure if you got mail last week. We didn't; they were told they needed to be studying and not writing letters so he didn't mail letters Sunday the 20th. Hopefully we get mail this week though. Fingers Crossed

Got my ribbons; got my pass;  I'm ready to go!!!!!  As of right now, weather-wise, it's not doing much here.  It snowed a little earlier, but didn't stick.  It's getting colder, so it may get icy from the earlier rain - but so far the long range looks good for next week.  Thinking about our boys and wishing them the best over these last days.
