Whooh!! this has been an experience for me, i am bubbling over with joy, i to ran out to get an outfit i have been exercising since Zach left for boot camp, this week i think i gained back everything i lost, anxiety, My so is Graduating Feb 17th hope to meet you (where are my ribbons) ha ha

So im emailing all my professors today telling them I wont be in class this thursday and friday! im so excited! I can't believe that this is the week we see our new sailors! how excitred (not to call them SR's anymore) When I got my phone call i asked my sailor what does he want me to bring and he kept saying I just want you. nothing else just you. =D I can't wait to be in my Sailors arms again. I also can't wait until we exchange names and see each other at Sarge's meet and greet! I hope these next 3 days fly by! Can't wait until thursday!!! woohoo!

Ladies-Just a few more days. It will be hard for me to concentrate at work. I am flying from CA to WA state (where my daughter-in-law is) on Tues. Then, my daughter-in-law and I will fly to IL together on.Thurs. That's the way my son wanted it. I reminded him that we are two very capable people, and would connect with each other if we flew from different states. He insisted, so that is what we are doing to ease his mind. I think he was concerned about his advanced age mom-smile. (Now, I wonder who took care of him when we traveled, and he was small...just glad he loves his mom...he knows I have no sense of direction, and he probably envisioned my missing PIR trying to get to RTC.)

How are we exchanging names? A friend of mine made ribbons for my daughter-in-law and me to wear. Are we wearing ribbons to Sarge's meet and greet? So looking forward to meeting you all. Thank you Iowa Mom for starting this group!

I AM PACKED!! :) WOO HOO....3 days and Chicago here we come!   Now to get throu a few days of work... not easy when your so excited.  Not sure on how to exchange names?  Do not know if we can get in trouble for posting them on here.  Maybe they will let us post first names?  Does anyone have ideas?

Got the suitcase out today and have told the family to get moving! With them or w/o THIS mom is Outta Here! Got a call from my son this afternoon and for the first time we got to talk for almost 30 minutes! Wow, does a heart good to hear your child's voice and know that all is well. I do not think exchanging first names is an issue on this site. I have been using mine all along. I don't think we are allowed to add our Sailor's names though or last names.  My guess is we will get name tags at Sarge's party. Let's just be sure to put "069" after our name so we will know we all belong to the same division. Can't imagine working the next 3 days....I don't have a lick of attention now. By Wednesday I will be buzzing around like crazy! IowaMOM, I think that it is sweet that your son worries so. Funny how you go from the care-taker to the taken-care-of! Guess it is a mother/son thing. I too have fallen into the same scenario. Gotta make you smile!

Hello Ladies - In four hours I will be getting on a plane to fly to WA state to spend Wednesday with my daughter-in-law, and then we both will fly to PIR on Thursday. I am at work now, it is lunchtime, and all I can do is stare into space with a big, silly grin plastered on my face and with great anticipation of seeing my Sailor Son in my eyes. No eating lunch...believe me... that is a rarity for me. I love food, but too excited to eat. The bell will ring in a few minutes (teach remedial reading), and reality will hit...back to work. I have progress monitoring (test to see how much progress is being made) to do before the end of the day. Sure hope I can stay focused. Do you think my principal would understand if I said that I am too excited to test (smile?)

Have a safe trip to IL. Hope to see you at Sarge's Meet and Greet. Three days...Yea!

Have a good trip!!!

See you at Sarge's on Thursday!!!
