oh no doreen... I paid 5 dollars to overnight a letter so he would get it and respond on sunday because I need to know if he put my name down for PIR or not... =(

My son said in his last letter that they don't get mail on Sat/Sun.  He said they were all unhappy about that.  I guess they can reread the stuff we send them during the week.

my Sailors dog ate ashes out of the fire pit a couple days ago. What is it with the crazy things they eat? Poor thing was pretty sick from it but is better now.

thanks dianne!! I will keep my fingers crossed! =)

haha Jackie that is so cute, what kind of dog do you have?

My SR specifically said that he can only get mail Mon - Fri.  Now, whether he knows what he's talking about or not, I'm not sure. LOL!  When he wrote that, they hadn't been able to receive any mail yet.

I can't keep my yellow lab off my bed...he has his own nice comfy bed on the floor but we wake up and there he is. But as big as he is, he doesn't take up near as much space as my little Westie..who comes into bed with us.

Comment by diannep on January 27, 2012 at 11:50pm

jackiequeen/FTLW: My Lab sleeps in my room at night...he is the best roommate.  Has his own comfy bed made up of 2 comforters (on an area rug) topped with fleece throws (one I cover him up with since I keep my room COLD!)...he never bothers me in the night...and even in the morning, will not come over to my side of the bed (I keep him on the other side so I don't trip over him during nightly bathroom trips) in the morning until he is sure I am up...and then he just sits and waits for me to pet him....quietly.  So sweet...however, if he has eaten some mulch the day before (a bad habit he learned from our other dog)....and I didn't catch him before he did it...he will throw it up LOUDLY in the middle of the night...usually bolts me straight up in bed!  But...it always has to wait until morning before I clean it up!  Awwww....they are so worth it!  DOGS RULE!  :-)

jackiequeen/barbsz>  That has been a question I have had for a long time!  My sailor has been out so long now that I'm sure he doesn't remember.  We have heard that they get it on Sat...and others said no.  Sure hope that they do!
