Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I usually keep my phone on vibrate but ever since he left it has been on loud.. scares the heck out of me every time it rings but it will be worth it when it's him on the other end :)

Comment by Jennie102311 on January 24, 2012 at 2:46pm: My phone started vibrating in the middle of class this morning and, even though it was a 404 area code and I knew that wasn't the one to expect, I almost ran out the door to answer it! haha but I didn't want to startle anyone for nothing so I just answered it and held it up to my hear! SPAM! wouldn't you know it! UGH lol but it still almost gave me a heart attack! here is to hoping we all get calls soon!!

"Honey, did Jesse send a letter?" "I don't know, I'll check in the morning." Sweetheart, you WILL get out of bed and go check it NOW!" He went and we didn't! He wasn't happy with me! But that is alright!
