That first letter/phone call does the trick!  Well, usually!  Now, seriously, it is a big relief to finally hear from them, even though you know they are safe and secure where they are....but you just need to see that handwriting or hear that voice!  We all understand that.  Shouldn't be too long before that happens for this group!

ColoradoMom:  Thanks for posting the link so that harpist mom can find her group!

A letter would be amazing. I have had my phone attached to me all weekend hoping for a call.  No luck.  The good thing is I am learning patience.  Something i dont have much of LOL.

@Jamie...yes we did. Friday cried. Cried last night watching Downton Abbey. Today I feel like a zombie. Just walking around dazed and confused. This too shall pass. I know the cure will be a letter!

I think so too Jamie. Hope you feel better! I'm around all day if anyone needs to talk! =)

I also had a few breakdowns this weekend.  I was doing fine and then out the blue... I feel like a crazy person not able to control my emotions.  I think we all had this type of weekend.

I am having one of those sad days. Miss my daughter...

Comment by Jess' Proud Mom on January 23, 2012 at 12:54pm

Just got back from Colorado (my home state). We took my grandmother to get her cancer shots and to visit her oncologist. So I got to go home. Grandma doesn't have internet and WiFi doesn't exist on the farm. LOL!!

But I am back. I still haven't received a letter from my SR and I am writing him everyday. Sometimes twice.

I am hoping everyone has a great day!!

@ harpist mom - Did you know the 03/09 PIR group is formed now?

Me too! My son left for boot camp from Houston on 1/10, and I have not received any letters yet - I know it is too early. Even though he will probably not be in the 3/2 PIR group, one of my "Navy Mom" friends suggested I join your group b/c this group provides a wealth of information! Thank you!

Good Morning everyone.  Hoping lots of letters are going into the mailboxes at RTC today!
