HAA, kimmic! You have a while to wait for that call, so get your "things" done this morning. Calls usually start around 2pm GL time...but can start later. Keep the cell phone CLOSE...in the bra even!
We THINK that 915, 075, 076 and possibly 916 went through last night. Time will tell!
emmie: What I have read on here in the past is that if they have "family" there (and you should qualify as that), then you can sign him out. You have to go on base to do this. If they have liberty with no family there, then they have to go with a "liberty buddy." Make sure to keep your gate pass with you. Not sure if you need this every time, but someone had mentioned that you should have it with you. I believe it is a pretty good walk from the front gate to sign him out.
No worries...make sure he has his phone card with him when he leaves RTC (maybe bring one--just a 30 minute one should work-- in case his ran out). He can call you all on Friday when he is finished moving in to pick him up. It usually takes a large part of the afternoon to do this. He should be "versed" on conditions of his liberty when you pick him up. He can return that night to his base with his cell. Better communication then!
Is anyone else completely useless today walking in circles and unable to concentrate while waiting for a phone call?? I can't get out of my own way. I had my toothbrush in my hand this morning and couldn't remember what I was about to do. Good GAWD!!!
:) Ive been searching this site and google for a few hours now trying to find out more information, but have came up mostly empty handed. I'm sort of thinking that maybe since none of the other GF mentioned anything about this then it wasn't an issue. No news is good news?
Or it could be that most of the others had there sailors family their. :(
Thank you so much FTLW. I'm scared they won't let me be his Liberty buddy. His moms leaving Friday night, and I obviously want to see him Saturday and Sunday. Hopefully it will be okay and work out. :(

More specific questions can be answered by the Visitor's Center staff at (847) 688-5648 The address is 610 Farragut Avenue, Great Lakes, IL.
Please remember, that when it comes to security, there are no guarantees; it’s what keeps your Sailor safe - and that's a good thing!
The above has been a question and so TSC put this out...but it is a new thing to us so asking would be a good idea. Even their Note about it above has some "varies" and "no guarantees".
That's all I know I'm afraid.
Here is the direct link to the Note and also the TSC Notes page for other info.
