Hi Friends!

"My soul finds rest in God alone,

      my salvation comes from Him.

He alone is my rock and my salvation.

He is my fortress, I will never be shaken."

Thank you for the clarification diannep. That is what I had thought, but wanted to make sure.

Here is the info in the Family Guide about guests for PIR:

"ALL GUESTS 3 AND OLDER MUST BE LISTED ON THE ACCESS LIST. No exceptions will be made for active duty service members or retired military personnel. Children age 2 and younger do not need to be listed on the access list and will not count toward the maximum number of guests. Please do not call or e-mail RTC for additional seats. Those who are not on the access list should remain off base and meet with their Sailor once he or she commences off base daytime liberty. We do not have a designated waiting area nor do we have a standby line."

BootsnPanama:  No problem for your 9 yr old.....the birth certificate or social security card are fine.  For those who have photo school ID cards, those are accepted too.

Vicky:  Yes, if he asked for the contacts, you can send them.  Label the envelope "contacts".  You can send a SMALL amount of solution with them.  They can wear these for their piks and at PIR.   Some of the girls may request makeup and the same rules apply as for contacts.

RE: your other children being allowed in the Chapel on base to watch the Livestream....this is a hit or miss.  I know that in some previous PIR groups, they reserved this area for overflow from PIR Hall.  Since this is a small PIR group, that may not be the case here.  However, in the RTC Family Guide, it asks that all who are not on the guest lists remain off base and watch the Livestream at their hotels.  Many of the hotels Livestream it for you.   If you decide to take a chance and bring them to PIR, be sure they have transportation back to their hotel in the event they are denied entrance to the base.  I will post the link from the Family Guide in my next post.

Another question (I'm on a roll today). My other 2 children (ages 15 & 12) will be coming to Great Lakes with us but are not part of the 4 guests attending graduation. My SR told me they could watch ceremony live feed from chapel on base. I had planned for them to just stay at hotel. Any thoughts?

I am planning to send these items to my son Monday. I asked him earlier if he wanted me to send them because I had read that it was okay. He told me to send them. He said that he is not sure that he will be able to keep them. He wears dailies, so he said if he has to throw them away it would not be a big deal.

My son wrote me a letter asking to send him contacts, case, and solution for graduation. Is this allowed?

Veteran moms - I am looking for information on the Ceremonial Guard.

Good morning! I have a question this morning. My 9 year old son will be going to PIR with us. He does not have a picture ID. I do have his birth certificate and social security card. My SR was insistent that we all have picture IDs. Should I start working on that?
