We got Thomas' BOX yesterday and got our first letter today.  It was a form letter, but who cares! He's on Ship 11 Div 106....graduation date is 03/06/15! Can't wait!

ncnavymom63 and Group - You will find that a lot of Recruits do that. Some even put the dog!

No worries...here's why:

The Guest List sent home to you on the Form Letter is just to let you know who your Recruit wishes to invite.

About 7-10 days before PIR your Recruits will submit a Final Access (Guest) List to Security for PIR. Security makes a Master List that is used at PIR when you check in. This final list that they turn in is the one that will have the legal names to match the ID of the Guest. Once this final list is turned in it cannot be changed. RTC does not control who your Recruit invites or changes...your Recruit does.

Just in case you may send the full legal names to your recruit in a letter if you think they do not know it. If someone cannot attend that they have on their list home please let them know so that they may make changes for the Final Access List.

Too funny! Probably a good idea ncnavymom63.

Finally got my letter today. Okay, so he writes on his guest list as Mom, Step-Dad and brother. I assume I need to write him and tell him to list our names, That is strange I just don't see him writing those names down like that. So saying that, I should write him and tell him to change it to our proper names. Any ideas?

Did anyone else's recruit leave on the 13th?? I'm trying to guess based on those who left on the 12th that my husband will graduate on March 6th and I'm really hoping so, but haven't recieved any information yet

They should hopefully by the end of this week and very likely by the beginning of next week.

I believe that your Recruits are on various days of Training week 2 (third actual calendar week at RTC).

Comment by Insaneuno on January 20, 2015 at 5:49pm

Do you think they'll also start receiving mail? After missing the phone call I'm hoping my SR will be able to hear from me through letters this week. He sounded like he needed encouragement in the voicemail he left me...

Salad71,

Even if a division gets to make calls as a group, some SRs won't be able to because they have been assigned to stand watch.  It's up to the Recruit Division Commanders (RDCs) if the call can be made up~~  So, yep, keep your phone charged and handy at all times!
