OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Anyone with division 081? Okay, I took a chance and booked flights before I got my letter, $117 Boston to Chicago roundtrip. Finalizing staying at Keylime Cove $113/night. We will have both the PIR and a birthday to celebrate that weekend!

Kinda bummed today. I usually get my letters on Wednesdays. I didn't get anything today :(. Maybe I will get something tomorrow.I wish ours were getting phone calls home today too!

I got a letter today, but it was to inform me that he got accepted into the Ceremonial Guard! I wish they would be making phone calls too! I miss his voice!! Did anyone find out why they didn't get a phone call when they were supposed to? I mean did anyone find the reason she revoked it?

I didn't hear the reason - my daughter just told me in the letter that they were supposed to, it was blown. But didn't give a reason.

Hey!  Had to delete the post with the possible BattleStations date, but made a note of it---keeping a schedule here.  Can't post the dates on this site---not allowed anymore...they must be private messaged (just post on the discussion/main board that you have a date for Div ___ and ask people to private message you for it). I think that is probably the correct date, judging by past BattleStations dates.  I have been keeping track of them now for 2 yrs.  081/082 will go first through BattleStations.

To the person who posted the date:  Yes, you would be correct that the call would come in that next afternoon!

thanks for keeping us in line, I forgot about the no dates! Also went to delete the post, but you beat me to it.

I tried to delete it, but I'm on my phone and it wouldn't delete the post from it.
