For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Yes, thank you, RPSMother. Would be good to know if there have been changes! Here is what is listed on the RTC site for RPOC/RCPO.....it says "division" here, not" divisions" so will be looking forward to hearing if anything has changed.
Recruit Chief Petty Officer (RCPO)
The RCPO is the primary recruit assistant to RDCs and is responsible for:
- Maintaining good order, discipline, and security within the division at all times.
- Ensuring compliance with standing orders and regulations.
- Assisting RDCs with implementation of schedules.
- Reporting any abnormal condition to RDCs, including violations of good order, discipline and security, when RDCs are not present.

At first my SR said he was only over two division, but since they added 4 more to his ship. I don't know. I have heard it from more that one person he is over more than his division. I will double check. Not to start an argument over it. I am just going by what I was told until I can verify it. Maybe because of his new rate??? Thank you for your congratulations, I will pass it on to him.
Also, once I find out which is true, I will correct my statement or let you know.

Hmmmm, RPSMom: I thought the RPOC was head of only his/her own division? Maybe I had misunderstood that but just asked my sailor son (now out of the Navy and living here for now) and he said there is one for each division. So not sure why your SR is saying that he is in charge of 600? However, my son said the divisions respect all of the RPOCs in each division, but a division's RPOC has no authority over any SRs but those in his own division. Congrats to him for his great leadership abilities!

Good morning everyone.
Got a call from my SR last night and he sounded a lot better than the week before. Since having 3 wisdom teeth pulled earlier this week he can now eat soft foods in lieu of jello. He also told me they added four more divisions to his ship so now he is RCPO/RPOC over 600 people. (Ship 14/Div 111) He is also the only RPS that he know of, so if any else has a RPS on his ship, I am sure he would like to get to know them.
