for
~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Sarah's Mom: YES, you can! Be sure to ask your sailor which airport and what time their flights are. Most people get out there in the wee hours of the morning, since that is when the sailors are bussed there to wait for flights. YES, you can give her the laptop. Hopefully it will fit in her Navy-issued backpack. They will have a large seabag, garment bag (uniforms)---both checked luggage, and their backpack to keep up with.
If she has other personal items she would like and no room for them, yes, you can ship them to A School.
Hello
Does anyone know if after graduation and there flying out to another state can we meet them at the airport to spend a little more time? also We purchased a laptop she needs for school can we give it to her at the airport...If not do we ship it later? I want to thank everyone for all there help. Not sure how i would handle this with no one to talk to, thank you all Mom's we are all going though the same thing....Talking to our Sailor's even for 3 mins is a great relief. thanks again for any info.Sarah's Mum
Good Morning, Friends!
"Because of the Lord's great love we are
not consumed, for His compassions never fail."
Lamentations 3:22
Good Morning!
MamaKats. I assume he is staying in GL for A School? If so, then he will have Daytime Liberty with you on Friday (after moving onto that base....Liberty usually starting mid-afternoon), Sat. and Sun. He will need to return to that base by a set time (usually 8 or 9 pm) each night.
Greetings on this President's Day~~
"Therefore thus says the Lord God:
'Behold, I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation,
A tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure
foundation; Whoever believes will not act hastily.' "
Isaiah 28:16
Good Morning!
It is also a good idea for marrieds' to consider taking advantage of SGLI for their Spouse.
My Hubby did this for our Family. While nothing can replace the loss of a parent...the cold hard fact is that finances can and will come into play. He knew he would still have to work but some extra compensation would help so that he would be able to take a position that allowed him to be around for our children.
