Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

N4M's Community Guidelines

OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Ladies, please remember that we are not allowed to post the actual BattleStations date for a particular division.  If you did that, please click on the "x" in the box and delete!  Thanks!

Wheeeww....JMREZ!  No need to make bootcamp longer than it already is!  :-)  Glad you got it straight.

Good Morning All !

Anyone receive any more BattleStations dates for their division?  If so, please friend request/message them to me for the schedule I'm keeping.  Remember, we can't post the dates here on N4Moms or FB (RTC's request), but we can private message them.  This PIR group starts "very soon" with its first divisions going through!

Comment by JMREZ on March 12, 2014 at 1:23am

Ahh, it was the settings on my own computer.  The date was wrong, so it made the countdown wrong.  9 Days 6 hours...much better.

Comment by Jennifer on March 11, 2014 at 11:17pm

The number of days left is under 10 (phew) I want time to pass quickly because I am missing my husband so much.  Good luck to our SRs for day 6-3 tomorrow and all upcoming battlestations.
