Poodlelover, that is great! My son is Ship 11 DIV 119 also. I got two calls today. He needed his recruiter to resend his degree to up his paygrade. He sounded better the 2nd call. Praying for all of our soldiers!

So excited to hear some of you also got phone calls today. I got mine about 8am. I was so excited. My husband and son was here so we put him on speaker phone. We talked for about 15 min. then he made a few other calls and called me back for a bout six minutes. Said he was doing fine. Anyone else in ship 11 division 119?

lionness,

I dropped all 9 of my letters in the mail today. I'm hoping that I get a phone call at least tomorrow. That would be nice I've had my hopes up but all day about it but the night isn't over so I guess we'll see. It's nice to know that someone else on here cuz someone in the same division as me. I can't wait to see him in 7 weeks it's going to be awesome. Maybe they know each other they probably do things out there in the same division.

Jodie,

My form letter arrived today and my son is in 920 as well.  I have not received a phone call since the night he arrived 1/28.  So happy to have the form letter! I can drop my letter in the mail tomorrow.  7 more Fridays to go!

My husband is in 920 and I haven't received anything yet as far as a call. It may be tomorrow.

So far nothing yet :(

Jodie,

Hope you get a call too!  By the way, the recruits are known as "SR" (seaman recruit) while in Boot Camp.  After passing Battlestations and going through PIR, they are then known as Sailors~~  :)

Navy AC, she will get it! We were lucky with our son, he did very well in school and pretty much never studied and retained info really good, so I hope that transfers to his Navy academics.

We suggest that everyone answer ALL CALLS when having someone at Bootcamp.  Most come in with the 847 area code, but some come from others.  So answer them all and just get rid of the solicitors quickly so you don't miss a call from your SR!

Good Morning!
