For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

I am also one of the N4Moms veterans working on this site. I have been doing this now for 5 yrs, ever since my son finished Bootcamp. He has now been honorably discharged, and just got his Bachelors (had his 2 yr college degree going into the Navy)....courtesy of the GI bill....in December! But I still stay here....because I love helping you all! Please read all of the info that FTLW posted for you in the PAGES section, above and to the right on this page.....then....ask any questions you have here! One of us will be happy to answer you....Welcome to Bootcamp!

He isn't musical at all haha so I'm not sure. I know he had very high test scores? Maybe that's why.

Yes, the 900 divisions are the performance divisions....some are drill team, some chorus, some instrumental, and some members are non-performance but will serve the VIPs, etc at the PIRs. They usually select SRs who had high ASVAB scores....because they need to be able to juggle their practices and Bootcamp....they usually perform in 2 PIRs in addition to their own ..... in most cases.

Jodie- is he musical? I'm still in the early stages of learning, but I think that means he's in a division that does the regular boot camp stuff plus participated in musical activities.

Welcome to Navy for Moms!!
My Sailor Daughter's PIR was March 2013--can't believe how fast time has flown!. She is an IT3 (Information Systems Technician, Petty Officer Third Class). I primarily provide scriptural encouragement for the PIR groups, Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) and a few of the other groups that I am a member of. I'll also help out with anything that I am familiar with--all kinds of tidbits I learned during my daughter's Boot Camp experience~~ This site really made the time go much faster. I'm so thankful that my Sailor daughter sent me the link for this awesome group of friends when she enlisted!! Count 9 Fridays and before you know it, you'll be seeing your baby again at PIR!! Here we go!!!
