I know he has a navy federal card, but I guess maybe he didn't bring it with him with they took pictures.

KoonAss,

Oh, I learned something new today!  :)

poodlelover,

The only reason why I think your SR couldn't purchase his pics is that he didn't have a NavyFederal debit card or his own personal bank's debit card with him.  You can still go to the PhotoLab after PIR to order pics.  You might want to come back later in the afternoon to look and order since it will be less crowded then.  It is right next to the NEX on base.

My SR also mentioned he wasn't able to purchase pictures. Anybody know why this was?

Letter today. YEA!!!! My son says he is doing great. Shot expert in the firing assessment. One of twelve out of about 200. Makes me proud. He said he was getting a medal and a ribbon. Still says he is tired but the weeks are going by fast. He did mention they would not get anymore phonecalls until after battlestations, so don't be disapointed if we don't receive one this weekend. I would still have my phone handy though in case one is earned. He is division 119 and said they gave blood on Friday which would have been the 6th. He was so happy to know he was going to get junk food and listen to music. I know now I will for sure be bringing his favorite snack: TWINKIES, a whole box for him to enjoy after PIR. Anybody else have anything to add?

Website for challenge coins (you usually buy the one in your SR's ship name at Bootcamp) is:

www.pirgifts.com

The ribbons are made/sold by LalaRibbonQueen.....she is a member on this site and can be found under the MEMBERS tab up top.  She has piks/info of/on the ribbons on her page....you can message her from there.  She is also on the PIR group FB groups so those on the FB groups can contact her there.  She has been doing this for about 5 yrs and all seem to love her ribbons!

Good Morning. Is there also a link for those coins(not sure what they are)? Any ideas on graduation presents? I bought my hubby a "sailor's bible" so far. I was thinking of getting him a Kindle Fire too cause he loves to read.
