peggyproudnavymom - please know that in no way sounds corny!  My son our new sailor, his father, and I didn't have a lot of time to spend so we also went out to eat then spent the remaining time in the hotel room just talking and relaxing.  My son said "Mom why do you keep staring at me" I said, "Son I didn't realize how much I missed until now."  I also want to thank people on this site who help me through boot camp!

When my family went to chicago for bootcamp graduation there were 9 of us..we rented one of those big white vans that had big rows of comfy seats and we drove around and talked and laughed with our new United States Navy Sailor...we stopped to eat but we all just enjoyed the time together...PRICELESS...before he got out of the car we all told him one by one what we felt in our hearts for him...sounds corny but it was awesome...to do nothing but spend the time we had with him TOGETHER...Will remember it as one of the BEST MOST PRECIOUS TIME of my life...We couldnt go with him to the airport the next day because the airforce were picking up the few that were going to sub school and they didnt want the families all saying goodbye there again...so we said goodbye that evening after driving around...then we went into the navy store and we bought lots of navy stuff...my coffee never tasted so good ...i love my navy mom mug...starts my day off just right!!  he has a phone now and hes getting liberities little by little so soon we will be able to go visit him as we only live about 3 hrs away from where he is stationed..he is in class studying hard and doing watches  and he is having fun too...was supposed to go to the mall and i hear he was going to a pub...I am so happy for him and so proud I pray for him constantly ...Just want to say thank you to all those on here who helped me along the way in bootcamp...
