Hi,

Good to hear back from you.  Hopefully we will be hearing from our Navy Sailors

soon! Send me your e-mail and we will communicate more.

Good Morning,

Do you know where your son will be attending A-School?  Our daughter-in-law tells us she will be in Pensacola, Florida.  We live in Georgia so this will be great!

You have a nice day.  It is beautiful here in Ga. today!

yes, I am proud of my daughter-in-law.  She also went to college first and was going on into Nursing Program but there was no openings so I think that is the reason she decided on joining the Navy.   We were very surprised and unhappy about it at first but I think everything is going to work out fine,  She is more like a daughter to me than a daughter-in-law.  If we hear from her tomorrow I  will let you know what she has to say on how things are going.

Hi,

I believe you will hear from your son soon.  How old is your son?  Our daughter-in-law

is 30 yrs. old and a very small person. I believe she will do well and I send her mail real often too.  It is so good to talk to someone that has a sailor in this same ship and div..

We have a Survival Guide for Navy For Moms Newbie. You find everything here. Videos, pdf files of boot camp processing days, links to all the important groups plus tips on how to use this site. Best part is it'll be here on your very own page as a reference. Click MY PAGE on above menubar to access your page anytime - you should do it at least once a day to see if you have any postings on your comment wall (like this one). Good luck.

Hi,

We are getting so excited thinking we might get a letter tomorrow.  The "box" and address has arrived but that is all.  My son and grandchildren - 5 and 7 are getting anxious!  Is this your daughter that is in Ship 12 div 098?    So good to hear from you!

Forgot to tell you--put your phone on vibrate and slip it in your bra.  Carry phone with you when you shower or go get the paper.  You never know when you will get a call.

Hi.  Your recruiter may have the address.  Otherwise, the "Sailor in a Box" will arrive soon at your doorstep with everything your recruit had on their back coming back home.  In it there will be a form letter with 3 short lines from your kid.  There will also be a return addy.  Sometimes the address changes slightly, but mail eventually gets to them.

When you hear from them the first letter, remember it will be about 3 days after their latest adventures.  Start writing letters now so you can mail a lot of them when you get the address.

I just realized you are in MD (I was kinda tired and read MO.)  Love your area!  Be sure and join the group "bootcamp moms" on here.  Let me know if you need anything else.  Our sailor is in dry dock up in Virginia right now.

Take care--ask any questions you may have.

Oh, you are a new Navy recruit Mom.  Hope all is well with you.  Go Navy!

Hi and Welcome.

We are happy to have you on the Navy for Moms site.  You are invited to join either the Illinois or Missouri family page as listed below.  It is a great way to find families in your area and even help plan meet and greets. We also have some packing parties for our troops overseas getting together.

Looking forward to hearing from you in one of our groups!

Be sure and let me know if you have any questions!

PS.  Feel free to “cruise” my page and see if there are any other groups that interest you. One of my passions is supporting our deployed troops.  Check out http://www.navyformoms.com/group/mollysadoptasailorproject and see if it is a group you may like to join.
