OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Ship 14 (USS Arizona) Divisions 141 and 142 (Brother Divisions)

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 141 and 142.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

I finally got to talk to my daughter on Saturday - was such a great surprise! :) She is going to A School for AD after bootcamp. Yours?

I got to hear from mine...AWESOME! My husband said he didn't know who was happier...me or her - probably me! Last time I heard from her was over a week ago when she called to ask about banking information and she didn't have but a minute to call. She sounded like she was crying or wanted to cry which made for a rough time until I heard from her again. She sounded homesick but awesome! She was excited about the different jobs she's doing and have met some friends.

Thank you and I'm doing ok. Yes I was able to talk to my daughter on Saturday, I was thrilled to hear her voice. She is going to A School in Mississippi. Now I am just waiting for her letters. When I talked to her on Saturday she hadn't received any of my letters yet, so I hope she has them by now.

Hi Chris, yes I did get to talk to her on Saturday for a little while, it was so nice to hear her voice. She was doing good but a little home sick. Did you get to talk to your son?

Yes, we spoke with him on Saturday. Not a great call; but I know things will get better for him. At that time he had not received any of our letters. Surely by now he will have begun to get mail, and that is bound to make him feel better.

Have you gotten any letters from your daughter yet?
