Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".
The Weather Widget is interactive. Click the green dot on the top bar and drag it along the to change the time. Click LIVE to go back to current time. Click on the days to change to that day or expand out to six days.

Hello Everyone,
This scripture is especially appropriate for our SRs going through PFA, Sailors going through their A and C schools, and moms & dads supporting our sons & daughters through this Navy journey!!
"He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary,
and the young stumble and fall;
But those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint."
Isaiah 40:29-31
A blessed Good Morning to all!
"I have told you these things,
so you may find peace in Me.
In this world you will have trials.
But take heart!
I have overcome the world."
John 16:33
My sailor reached his destination on time last night with no troubles. We spent 16 hours with him at O'Hare. He'll have a couple of weeks to rest up and then be back in the swing of school. SARGE has been the best! Quality Inn was excellent (for not being at home). Good Luck to all!
Thanks for the info, SRMom. Today, I could not find Flanagans MeetandGreet on the EVENTS calendar. So not sure what is up with that. Maybe they are no longer having it then.
