Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 135 and 136.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My daughter is ship 11 div 136,, going to A school in Pensacola for AM after boot

Our son is ship 11 division 135, currently port section leader. We plan to be at PIR and look forward to connecting with other families :0) we have already made our hotel reservations in Waukegan and are very excited to celebrate our SR in completing this crucial part of his naval journey!

Hi Christina......we have made our reservations also.......trying to decide now if we are driving or flying from South Georgia......would be 1000 miles one way.....my daughter is Starboard watch and we are so excited also.......Friday #4 coming up!!!

I can see why your considering a flight. It's about a 6 hour drive for us. Actually, this will be a nostalgic visit to the gl naval base for us since my husband was stationed there for part of his et school years ago when he was enlisted and we were newly weds. We lived in Waukeagen! Ahhhh, humble beginnings. So, are you planning to attend any of the meet and greets Thursday evening?

Yes I was thinking about Flanagans but I see alot of people are going to Sarge's...so not really sure yet. My husband was also in the Navy...he is my daughters stepfather but talked about it alot to her.  He is a commercial driver now and talked about driving but that is a long time to be behind the wheel even for him so even though I don't like flying we are leaning more toward that.

I missed my daughters first call because I didn't think they would get to call that  soon and I didn't have a good signal.......didn't miss the second one though..we talked almost 30 minutes.  It was so wonderful to hear that she was happy and didn't get sick from all the shots.  She said the food was good but wasn't getting alot of sleep.  How is your son doing???

I'm sure we will attend Sarges because we will be staying right next to where it will be held. Let me know when you decide so we can look out for you if you will be there... Would be great to meet before PIR! Our phone calls with our son have been short but he seemed very relaxed in this last one. It really put us at ease to hear that things were going well for him. Still no letter from him! We keep sending to him though, Like clockwork! Gotta keep the positive support and love from home going :0)

yes gotta keep that going........she told me in her first letter to send plenty of letters to help get her through this.......then when we talked she sounded in much better spirits.......she had gotten letters from family and from folks she didn't even know.  She said the letter from a classmate of mine actually made her tear up and that is not something that she does easily.  I have sent pics of things that have gone on around the house so she won't feel too out of touch.  I also tried to send things to make her laugh.  She loves cars so I am sending her an article about a Mclaren that she will love to read about.  Hopefully you will get a letter soon.......it is strange to see them write in all caps.

Happy Puppy
