Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 141 and 142.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

SoCal - Oh I love it!!!

got a call from son early this morning :)  way to start of the day...god is good <3

I also got a call from my daughter. It was so nice since I did not get to talk last Saturday. I was more happy for her because she got to talk to her 2 yr old daughter.
Yes, mine got to talk to her 3 yr old son. I know it must be hard on them.

Oh my goodness, those with little ones deserve so much respect and support. I know its hard to be away from my daughter but she is 18 and grown. For those leaving little ones it is so incredibly difficult! When my husband would leave when he was in the Marines it was always difficult. SO glad they have good grandparents helping! :)

Good Morning everyone!   I received another call from my daughter yesterday, was able to talk to her for 45 min.    She sounded alot better and said her div is slowly pulling together (so glad to hear).   On the up side she said the food was really pretty good. hahaha.  Glad to see other moms/dads/and kids are able to talk to their SR.    Have a great day everyone!!!

I, too, got to talk with my son on Saturday.  It was a much better call than the week before.  He sounded so much happier, calmer, more confident!  Says the division is beginning to come together and they have a real good chance at earning an academic flag.  He got to speak with his younger brother, too which helped them both.  Hearing from my son was like a nerve tonic; now I don't worry so much.  I am just counting down the Fridays!

I'm doing the happy dance with all of you who got to talk with your SRs over the weekend!!

I can't imagine leaving a little one either!!  As you say; it is hard enough to be away from our "grown" children.  Prayers for the Moms & Dads at boot camp!!

My SR Ship 14 Div 142 called again on Saturday, I wasn't home, spoke to his sister, she need it to talk to him, she's feeling better about him not being home,  them called his father and grandparents. I didn't think he was going to call, that's two weekends in a row but he did and I'm glad he spoke to his grandparents.

Is anyone's daughter going to Pensacola for A School after BC? Anyone going into Aviation?

My daughter is S14/Div 141.....I have spoken to my SR twice and 2day I got a phone call this will be her last call till the week of grad. She advised me that they will be training and exercising and practicing for the Grad. She wants lots of letters to feel in touch. The BC is very hard for her, but our family was on speaker phone and told her to pray hold your head up because we will be praying also. She started crying and we tried to comfort as much as possible. We will be praying for her and all the SR's. they are all missing their families, but they are half way there.

Praying for your daughter :)
