Ok, I am a newbie, but here I go starting a discussion. Are there any other moms out there in this division?

Trandles,
My son is in this Division. Have you visited the US Navy Recruit Training Command on facebook? There is a forum there also specifically for this Division and there are about 10 of us there. We would love for you to join us there. That website is run by the Recruit Training Command at Great Lakes, so there is some invaluable information there. Also, every Tuesday they have a Trivia contest and they'll go take a picture of the Division where the winner's SR is and post it on their page, so there's a chance we may at some point see a picture of our Division.

Hello, I too have a son in this division and I'm new to the site, I will visit the site on Facebook. I look forward to chatting with you more.
Hello Trandle, Thanks for starting this discussion. My son is in this Div. I also have been checking the Facebook site. I am new to this too!
Hi Tamluv and Marmadukes. I am also following facebook as well as this discussion.
I know I feel like I am going crazy too. My husband thinks because he said he was doing well I should quit worrying about him and I have to some degree, but that is my baby and I miss him and I want to see him and I don't think I will ever stop worrying about him.
I completely agree. I read something that I would have shared with him if he was here and I cry. I make my lunch for work which is something he always did for me and I cry. We have family game night and I cry because he is not there to enjoy it with us. I am glad you understand because no one in my family quite gets it. They are our life. Only anther mom could understand how much we miss them and how hard it is that we can't just pick up the phone or text them or just walk in to their room to talk to them.
Its what us mothers are good at!
I just found this - I heard rumors that the Facebook Forum might disappear... hope not - but we still have this and from what I have read below from all - I can really relate - I do have to say now that we have heard from our son and now that we know he ok and good with his decision - we are SO relieved and SUPER proud! Can't wait, we got like 21 days until PIR!
I heard this too. I can't find any information on it so I am not sure what is going to happen. If we do lose the forum on Facebook we can all just post here.
