Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

A quick note here: Last Names of Recruits/Sailors are not allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

Michael was able to get on FB today so instead of calling me we talked on FB!!! Said lines were way to long!!! said his Div 109 got second place!! They were hyper!! Drinking energy drinks and eating candy bars!!! they were able to play in the arcade too. told him next time call i want to hear his voice!!!

He said their phone calls yesterday were cut short because someone got on the Internet and they weren't suppose to (I guess there are computers close to the phones) so that is probably why you didn't hear from him. Hope this helps.

Comment by Dani (11/109) on March 31, 2012 at 5:08pm: I just got off the phone with my boyfriend! We had a whole hour to talk. It was the best surprise. They were all just hanging out in "ricky heaven" (I think that's what he called it). He's really happy they're done with everything and is doing well. Everyone's really excited about graduation apparently.
I asked him about captains cup, he said his div (109) won second place, and their brother div 110 won a cup for ...chanting? I believe. He couldn't remember which div won the whole thing.

He sounded so much better this time than after the sailor call. He said they're having a pizza party soon :) If you knew how much that kid loves pizza you would understand the pure joy in his voice as he said that. hahaha.

Comment by diannep on March 31, 2012 at 1:37pm: On hearing the results of Captains Cup today, you will only hear if someone is able to call home and report it. Since no one can "post" on the RTC FB site over the weekends now, then we can't find out that way. So hopefully someone will call home! They completed Captains Cup this morning.
