So Happy for you all, did I hear right that Sailors going to Pensacola didn't leave until Sunday? How wonderful for you all to have a little extra time with them! If anyone has pictures of the Honor Guard I would be so greatful to see them, maybe I would see my SR, he was to perform at your PIR. Thank you!
We went to Sarge's Meet and Greet before PIR. What wonderful man. He assisted us with his transportation services for my son's girlfriend. He also had a huge buffet of food at the meet and greet for all of to enjoy. To Sarge, thank you so much your thoughtfulness, it will never be forgotten.
Halleluia, FTLW! Headed to church in a few! Happy Easter, all!
FletchersWife: He should be able to call you shortly after he arrives. If he doesn't have a cell with him, he can borrow one or use a calling card. Not sure how soon after he arrives that he will call, but eventually he should. In the meantime, go on the Navy motto: NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS!
tlwbetz: So glad that you had an extra day with your sailor!
PIR was SO memorable !!! My son ran towards me hugged me tight and lifted me right off my feet! What a mighty fine MAN - still my son, but now my sailor... wished we had had more time...to do more with him - headed to the airport in the AM to hang more with him until his flight... can't say enough about coming to this - wouldn't miss it for the world !!! more later... goodnite (-:
HUGE thanks to everyone ! We get to spend one more time with our son before his flight tomorrow (off to Pensacola, FL) to his A school... Just LOVED spending time with him all day today! We took him to get his contacts, lunch, movie, and a little shopping - SUPER HAPPY - I can't quit smiling!
