Ship 11 Div 109, I am in FL. I received a letter last Thursday & today.

chsell0909, that's sweet he included notes for his siblings.  What state do you live in?  My mail service has been pathetically slow lately.  My ex husband lives in Northern Virginia and received a letter from my son last Thursday.  I didn't receive a letter until Saturday and I in Richmond, VA.  The letters were mailed the same day.  Good ole USPS!

Letters today!!!! A little note for each of his siblings. They will be so excited. He said they don't get much time to write so the questionnaire I sent made it perfect for him to let us know all about his experience. Send more letters & pictures he asked, he loves reading from us. It is so great to hear he is doing well. He is worried I am sad. I haven't let him know just how hard this has been. But he knows me. It is definately getting easier with the positive letters.

Good morning!!!! When I arrived home from class late last night, I checked my inbox . . .And what did I see? All the exciting news about FTLW's pup!

I had to do some editing to documents to go to a professor who was catching a flight, so, I couldn't join in the celebration of ANSWERED PRAYER!!!!!! I have to confess: I had to check my edits twice (I was a bit teary).

Now that it's morning, let me make a quick analogy: Your SRs are not lost, like the little dog, but they are fully in the hands of folks other than you. There will be periods YOU need to just go on faith. If God watches over our little dogs, he certainly watches over our sons, daughters, spouses and other loved ones. Embrace this journey and the moments of faith that help us grow along the way (and, hey, you have all of us as traveling companions!).

lol Dianne, maybe your fingers are faster than your brain or maybe your brain is faster than your fingers lol.

Good morning everyone, it's a rainy day in the neighborhood :-)

"know", not "now."  Ugh...

Comment by diannep on February 29, 2012 at 9:00am

I agree with Lala, Katze.  You never now when a call may come.  My sailor was able to call me 3 days after he arrived, because it was Thanksgiving Day (he was there in 2010) and his RDCs were very gracious to the division!  He then was able to call again about 10 days later.  So it all depends on their time, RDCs, rewards, etc...just have that cell phone glued to you...because the calls can come at any time.  If they miss you, they most likely won't have time to call back on these "earlier bootcamp" calls.  Take that cell phone with you to get the mail and to the bathroom!  Calls have been missed by ladies who didn't do this...  :-(   So be ready!

@ FTLW - what diannep said!! what a relief!
